Saying hello from Syracuse, NY. Just booked my first WDW vacation for september and now im just gathering up info on what to bring and where to eat and how to save money!
First, did you get any sort of a discount? Either a special of some sort, or at least the AAA discount?
Second, are you on the meal plan?
For dining, there are a zillion great choices. But go to the menus at www.allears.net and take a look at:
- Chef Mickey's. Easy to reach from the Magic Kingdom via monorail. Minnie, Mickie, Goofy and the gang throw a party, and it's a buffet so there's bound to be something there your kids will love.
-Aukerhaus (Norway in Epcot) breakfast. FIVE princesses stop by your table for pictures and autographs. My youngest wore her princess costume the last time and had a blast!!!!
-1900 Park Fare dinner w/ Cinderella and the stepfamily. Too funny for words!!! The stepsisters bickered over who was prettier, and we had so much fun!
You will find more information on these boards than you will know what to do with. By August you will be packed, all reservations will have been made and you'll be sitting by the door waiting for time to move! Ok. maybe I won't go that far, but I'm sure with all the wonderful people on the Dis, you will be able to make this vacation something to remember.

Hi, I'm a newbie here too and I am eager to offer advice as I am not long back. As you have 2 girls with you I would like to suggest a breakfast at the Castle where Cinderella meets and greats at the door and then several other princesses come round the tables. It's a great character experience and will save a lot of time in the parks waiting for autographs if your girls are fans of the princesses. I enjoyed the food which was a nice bonus!! Another great bonus was that we had the earliest time available and walked up an almost empty main street. and after breakfast we were the first on Dumbo. Hope you have a great time.
p.s. this is probably the last you will hear from me cause I have tried to find a few threads that I commented on earlier and can't! I suppose it just takes time and experience to get used to how all this works.
Glad to see ya! Howdy from Kentucky!!! You're gonna' love it here! Looks like you'll be there the same time as us we're gonna be there 9/18-9/30 T Port Orleans French Quater! Feel free to PM me with any questions about ANYTHING This will be our 14th trip in 8 years!!! Glad to help in any way!!
