:wave2: well i finally made it over here, after lurking for so long :(

i'm here b/c i'm FAT. i'm not oging to make it nice or rosey, cause i HATE the way i look. GREAt i'm already crying

i'm 4'10" and wearing a size 14.

I went from an 8 to a 16 when i was pregnant with DS. It would be nice to think that it's all baby weight, which it is, but DS is now 7months old and i've stil got it :(

I just read a book that said many women that carry the weight after their child has turned 6months will carry that all their lives. Needless to say i just about lost it. good thing the kids were napping!

i'm a cheerful happy person that was a gorgeous and happy size 8 at my wedding, but marriage got hte worst of me :( i married the guy that can and does eat anything and everything and is soo happy with the way i look. so it's ovbious that i am not doing this for anyone but myself. my bathroom has a huge wall length mirror (sounds kinky doesn't it!! :rotfl: ) and i have to undress in my bedroom, wrap a towel around myself and i run into the shower where i jump in and THEN i unwrap myself and drop the towel outside of the shoer all the time. i just need some help and i'm ready to do this now! :guilty:

sooo enough of the sad stuff, it's time to bring on the help :)

Thanks for listening to my sad story :)

<==========Lily running over to give you a GREAT BIG {{{{HHUUGGG!!}}}

Welcome to WISH!

You are in the BEST place to be for the greatest support.

You have done the hardest part in all of this...you've made up your mind to get to a healthier you.

Please know: You can do this and your young ones, DH and You will be so pleased.

Take it in small steps getting yourself lined up for success. Make small goals, join in the challenge threads, celebrate!

Try not to think of it using the "D" word. Think of it as making healthy choices for a healthier you. It is a lifestyle change that you are seeking. It won't be the easiest, but it can be!

Keep on keepin' on! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

My baby is almost 17 and I'm still carrying the 'baby fat' :teeth: I am determined this time to take off some weight. I haven't even decided how much- I just want to be healthier.

This is a great place!
What kind of program are you thinking about??

I just wanted to tell you that whatever you read is not true in all cases. I gained 75lbs with my ds9 and finally 9 years later and 3 kids later I am finally back to what I was when I got pregnant the first time. My dd 21mo. keeps me walking. We walk all the time. I am not much of an exercise person but I do keep busy. When your baby gets up and toddles along you will notice you will be doing more. Don't be so hard on yourself Most of my friends that have kids also have had a hard time getting rid of the baby fat. It is a hard thing to do but just think you have the DIS to help you through it and you will never find another group of friends out there with as much support as you will here. Welcome to the Dis...............................

Thank you both. I'm thinking of starting out changing the way i eat. DD and DS and i have been walking often to the parks, so i will try and do some on my own time at night too.

My DD is 19months and she does keep me on my toes :) thanks again!

Welcome Michelle!!!! :goodvibes :Pinkbounc

You may remember me from the "countdown to POP" thread! I haven't been posting much on your POP threads as much lately, but I do lurk regularly and your excitement is contagious!! ;) Hope to see you there!

I also wear a size 14 right now and want to get back to a 10 (I'd like to wear my size 8 jeans again, but I'm not sure it will happen or not!!). Having a goal to lose a few pounds for our WDW trip is really working for me. I want to be able to run around Disney without getting winded so that's a big motivation for me to get exercising. I've been exercising regularly for a few weeks and I've really noticed the difference.

Start off slowly and make a few changes like taking the kids to the parks more, maybe walking with hubby & kids at night. Maybe cut back on portions a little bit (without depriving yourself too much) and drink lots of water. Most importantly, keep posting back here. This is a FABULOUS group. I just started coming a few weeks ago and I was welcomed so warmly. Big hugs to you......... You CAN do it AND you're worth it!!!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes

Good luck with your quest, I'm sure you'll find great success!

I just joined over here, I'm in the same situation - short & with too much weight on.

Take care!
