I'm nervous about my Amazon.com order. UPDATE! IT CAME!!

I placed two seperate orders on amazon December 13th. The first shipment arrived two days later, the second shipment originally said it would ship Dec. 19th which concerned me even with the delivery by the 23rd guarantee. The second shipment still has not shipped, nor has it unexpectedly arrived :confused3. With Christmas being Sunday, and the shipment still not having shipped I am so worried that it will not make it in time. I sent Amazon an email just asking when it would ship (since it had said the 19th and it's the 20th) but I haven't heard back (I know they must have a TON of emails to answer). Anybody have this problem before, or are you waiting now? Did your items arrive? Thanks for calming my nerves :goodvibes

Is the order through Amazon or through one of their marketplace sellers?
 
I am sure everything will be fine. I placed an order on December 16th. I checked on my order yesterday and it said that it was in transit and would arrive on the 19th or 20th. Lo and behold at about 6:30 pm there was a knock on the door. It was ups with my packages. :teeth: That poor girl looked like she had been through the ringer. I told her I was surprised to see her so late. She said she still wasn't finished delivering packages for the day. :earseek: She also said that this year has been insane because everybody seems to be doing a lot of their shopping on line. I am still waiting on one more package from amazon, but I confident that it will be here in time for Christmas. With that said, I am sure that your's will be too. I wouldn't get too worried just yet.
 
They are all V smile products. It says that they are imaginarium selection products delivered by Amazon.com. It's the Vsmile main system, the AC adaptor, an extra joystick for the Vsmile, and 1 winnie the pooh game for the system (it's for my 2 DD's)?
 

I think you will be ok. I was worried about a product I ordered from Amazon, but it just arrived yesterday. I paid for the cheap super-saver shipping & they ended up sending it UPS 3 day select. I think they will upgrade the shipping method to meet the deadline, even if you went with the cheapest shipping option.
 
Don't worry yet! My mom got an Amazon package last night at 7:30pm! -- I think if they told you that you would receive it by Dec. 23rd chances are that you will get it. I've never had a problem with them and I think they work very hard to get your package to you by the time they say. If it hasn't shipped yet and it was promised by Dec. 23rd, they will probably send it Rush ship at their cost. I got a package last year the morning of December 24th!
 
I'm worried about my order as well. Originally it was supposed to arrive yesterday but then Amazon delayed shipping it and now it says it won't arrive until Dec. 22-23. It better be the 22! We are celebrating Christmas early with my family and I need those gifts. However, I am tracking the package through UPS and it says it is still sitting in California! Does anyone know how reliable the tracking system is? I'm hoping the pkg is on its way and just didn't get scanned.
 
I ordered something as well on the 13th of December. I received an email that there was a delay in my shipment but it should arrive between the 22nd and 23rd but it actually showed up yesterday. :flower: So a couple days earlier than expected. Hope yours shows up in time too..

I was tracking mine yesterday morning and it showed that it left on the 17th but nothing else and still showed expected delivery between the 22nd and 23rd then my packaged arrived yesterday afternoon so I would not rely on the tracking system. I'm sure it is overwhelmed with all the packages being delivered at this time of the year.
 
I wouldnt panic yet either :)

The tracking systems have all been off this year. I have had several. Yesterdays was a USPS ebay win it said "was notified will be dropped off by..." and I was panicked! Well lo and behold it showed up yesterday :)
 
Try not to fret. We freaked out on Sunday when we had 6 boxes from various places missing... and we leave for our wedding on Sunday. All of the gifts were for other people.

Every one of them was due in on the 23rd- the day we leave at 6 am. We got all but one of them yesterday... it looked like Christmas! It's one he's waiting on (that he won't tell me what's in the box). It was shipped ages ago from California and is slugging it way across the country and its tracking has dropped of radar.

Have faith. The carriers are good about Christmas delivery. The stuff we ordered off Amazon was for our parents (we were really sweating it), and it was here within about 48 hours of the time we had the shipping confirmation. See if you can call and get someone on the phone instead of waiting in the knee-deep que of emails.

I haven't found a phone # for amazon?? Anyone have one? My problem isn't that it is somewhere in transit, my order has said for 3 days that they were preparing it for shipment and I could not cancel or change my order, so as far as I know they haven't even taped the box :( I did use the free saver shipping seeing as they were running the deal through the 16th or 17th I think and promising packages by the 23rd, being that I was a couple of days before the cut off and 10 days before the 23rd, I felt safe lol!

I have been totally amazed by Amazon. I ordered three things last Thurs (all shipped separate) with free shipping. I ordered Thurs am and got first on Fri pm....WOW. The second item was shipped Mon and the third today. The first came only from a state away, but still that was fast shipping!
 
I'm going through the same wait for packages from Amazon. I ordered on the 12th and FINALLY today it says that the item was shipped. I know that they guarantee delivery before Christmas but I hate sweating it out. Unfortunately I tried to find my item locally and could not so I had to go the Amazon route. Never again will I wait so late to order.
 
I usually have good luck with Amazon - but I'd ordered 3 items early this month, and ended up cancelling them two weeks later when they'd not shipped (and it was then estimated that they'd not be until early January). I cancelled the order and picked one of the items up elsewhere, I didn't need the other two bad enough to worry about.

Thanks for the encouragement! I'm glad to hear that I shouldn't rely on the tracking system. I was getting ready to go pester my neighbor who works for UPS to see if he could pull any strings for me!! (j/k) :teeth: By the way, I placed my order on the 12th too. Good luck to everyone waiting anxiously for the sound of a heavy truck outside!! ;)
 
Nothing updated on my account page, no response yet to my email, so I'm off to try to call them. Thanks for the replies, I'll let you know how it turns out. The items I order said that they usually ship within 24 hours well still waiting 1 week later :confused3 .
 
UPDATE: I spoke to a rep. at 1800-201-7575 (thank you for the number tarmand), she told me that I would have a tracking number as well as a conformation email by tomorrow and if for some reason I did not to call again and that they would then expedite the shipping. So I will be awaiting an account update tomorrow evening as I will be away from the computer for most of the day, and I'll be sure to let you guys know!

I ordered many items on Dec. 5. It originally said it would be delivered by Dec. 19. A few days later I checked my order and it said "these 18 items will be delivered after dec. 24." Yikes. Since it hadn't shipped I changed shipping, from the free super saver thing, to regular. It cost about $1.00 more. Now everything has arrived at mom's, except one book Uncle John's Bathroom Reader for Kids :cool1: If that doesn't arrive it will be ok :rotfl:
