Wow, I can't believe it. I just booked my second trip home and I haven't even gone on the first one yet! This is so cool. Now that nearly all the planning is done for the June/July trip, I guess the only logical thing was to book the next trip so I could plan that one out. Easter 2003 we will be taking my parents with us. I can't wait!!!
I just had to share this with people who understand the obsession--the girls at work thought I was a nut case today.:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

As soon as we joined, I planned out several trips. I haven't gone so far as booking them, though! I know what you mean about people at work not "getting it." Where I'm from, few people have ever been to WDW, and I suspect some of them have never even heard of Florida. . .

patsal....you struck a chord here!

We are heading for our first trip "home" on Saturday. We already have booked a second trip for this summer. And today I started a day-by-day reservation for next Easter week!

So I am currently holding reservations for three trips and haven't taken my first one yet!

This is so cool!!!!

I have the next 4 trips planned, dates, points usage and all, but only one is actually booked.

I don't know what I would do without the DIS, nobody else understands my "hobby".

 I am right with you!
I am already asking my wife when the kids school vacations are, and planning points accordingly.

Funny part is...we only just started trying to have kids!!!:D

Just two days ago I was working on our plans for 2007!!! LOL. I love trip planning and DVC really plays into that addiction.

I <snif, snif> am on financial probation (we're paying down our bills) so my next trip isn't even on the books yet! :( I seem to have an incredible talent for spending what we're saving on accommodations on 'stuff'. Hence the bills. ;)

But enjoy YOUR trips. Think of me, at home, alone, suffering from withdrawal....

Trip planning is an obsession here too. I like to plan years ahead when the winter months come, and I have nothing better to do!;)

The trouble is, I have a 5 year plan, so it doesn't give me much more to do!

Yup, I also understand. I honestly believe that is the only way I will be able to step foot off the Disney Magic in Dec when our week cruise is over. Because I will be able to book next years VWL vacation before we get on that ship!
Although we bought in Nov 2001 our first trip "home" will not be until Oct 2003.

This is the best support group ever. It's a nice feeling knowing there are others just as polluted as yourself.

If you are feeling like this now...wait until you get there!!! You won't want to leave your new 'HOME'.:) :)

We're right there with you. Last week as soon as the Februaury break was announced, I was on the phone to MS. I wasn't sure if we were getting a long weekend or the whole week. Well, they gave us the week so that will be our fifth trip home in 15 months, thanks to the DVC and an extended AP. Previously we have never gone more often than every two years. Gotta love that DVC. Of course for my big family trip in Nov 2003, we will have to borrow from 2005, but that's what borrowing is there for. I can't wait for tomorrow!

I (We) know how you feel. Once in the DVC club, the urges run through your veins. That's the urge to PLAN ANOTHER TRIP. I've got a spreadsheet planned out to 12/2040. (Sick isn't it).

Instead of getting your kicks on Route 66, we all get out kicks on the DIS.

Ever since we became (cult, ha ha) members we think of nothing else but the next trip. Until DVC we did an annual trip, well no we still do annual trips - 3 times a year.:D

Thanks everyone! Your responses were priceless and very validating to this obsessive planner.

DVCajun, I'll be thinking of you and wishing you a speedy financial recovery.

Granny, I can't wait to read about your first visit.

That's the way it is! You will love your first trip home. We are going in August and have already booked our BWV trip for Spring 2003! As long as you keep 'em stacked up you always have one to look forward to.
