I'm losing my belly button!

Well I'm almost at 5 months preggers and finally my bellybutton is going away. I look like I'm carrying a watermelon! Mostly I just look fat. Sometimes after I've eaten my tummy is bigger than my belly. I've got a few new students this semester and they had no idea I was expecting, they thought I was just gaining weight and they were too kind not to say anything. (this from teenagers?!?! how nice)

Anyway baby Thor is kicking away and last night DH finally got to feel it! He says it feels like a muscle twitch. And JTB will be happy to know Thor LOVES to use my bladder as a spring board. My 1st trimester was a nightmare but this 2nd is kind of fun! Of course I don't have a lot of people wanting to touch my belly. My students have already told me they are putting up with me getting mad at them (b/c they won't study!) just b/c I'm pregnant! How nice of them.

So we go Thursday to get the sonogram and find out if Thor is a girl or boy. (we figure either way Thor will work for a name ) I'm so excited!!!!!!!! The baby better behave and let us see! All the wives tales say I should be having a girl, me looking like a watermelon, the ring test, me craving oranges, me not looking so pretty, etc. However I keep having dreams where it is a boy.

I'll let you all know if you are having a niece or nephew!

I loved the butterfly kisses from my babies when they first starting moving in my belly. It's the sweetest feeling.

I'm surprised people aren't wanting to touch your belly. I had total strangers (people's grandmothers) wanting to feel my belly both times.

I didn't dream about the gender of my babies. But around the time I found out I was pregnant with my dd, I dreamt I had a bald baby. She had TONS of white hair (not blonde, but white cotton!).

I always called my belly button a turkey timer when I was pregnant. It worked a lot like one.

Aw, that fun "are you fat or are you preggers" stage?

I actually loved that stage of pregnancy, the little one is big enough to kick and be felt but not so big that you feel like you are carrying a mutant watermelon in your belly.

Can't wait to hear if it's a THOR or a THORA!

I loved the first kicks stage! With my second one, folks were asking me if I was due soon when I was at the 5 month mark! He was a VERY BIG boy and weighed 10# 7 oz at birth. That was before sonnograms, so the Dr. was worried he might be twins.

Good luck on Thursday!!!! This is the best stage of pregnancy....except for the people touching, prodding, quizzing....

After having 4 babies, my belly button is still an "innie" but I now enjoy a nice little marijuana leaf design in stretch marks right over the top of it!!!!!
