I'm looking for a good Meat Marinade recipe!

To marinade meat (like chuck roasts) to cook on the grill. I woudl also like a good one for shish kabob meat as well! I have one thats a teriyaki recipe but I was looking for a change.
 
I can give you one I use for steak. DH loves it.

1 pkg. taco mix
1 pkg. dry italian salad dressing
1 can of coke.
 
This will probably sound tired and lame, but we love it. Just dump the meat in a ziplock of Italian salad dressing. We use the Robosto kind. This is especially good with flank steak.
 
Before we stayed at AKL last year, I always marinated my beef in some Newman's Own Salad Dressing - either original or balsamic viniagrette, preferring the balsamic. We really enjoyed the flavor it gives the meat.

However, since our trip last May, we now use Boma's Flank Stead Marinade. It's awesome!

FLANK STEAK MARINADE

Ginger 1/4 c
Garlic 2 Tbl
Sugar 2 Tbl
Cardamom, ground 3/4 tsp
Coriander, ground 1/2 Tbl
Turmeric, ground 3/4 tsp
Thyme 1/2 Tbl
Crushed Pepper 3/4 tsp
Worcestershire Sauce 1/2 Tbl
Soy Sauce, low sodium 1/4 c

Mix all ingredients in a large bowl. Add flank steak and marinate for 24 hours. This should be enough for ~3lbs of steak.
Note: This recipe is very thick, not like a “normal” marinade - more like a paste.
 

Oh - sorry. :) Flank steak is a particular cut of meat. It's usually on the thick side - like 1 - 2" I'd say & very lean. When I was young, my mother had the butcher cut a pocket into it & would "stuff" it with a bread filling.

I use the marinade on whatever - usually boneless sirloin! Boma just happened to use flank steak. It was quite thick there, but very tender.
