I have lost almost 20 lbs. I went from measurements of 43-34-43 to
41-32-41. I think it's pretty noticable. My waist is much smaller. My hips aren't as wide as they were. My clothes are much looser & you can tell a bit in my face.

No one ever mentions it. DH will comment if I say something first. My best friend, mom & sister will comment because they have been encouraging me. One man at work mentioned my weight loss followed by comments about how his wife had lost weight & it can be hard on a man when his wife loses. :confused3

It's not like I expect to be the topic of conversation, but no one says a thing.:confused3 Has this ever happened to any of you?

I wanted to add that my darling DH did tell me that if I threw a ball today & then tomorrow I threw a ball 2 inches farther you wouldn't be able to tell because 2 inches is not much. So, maybe he's right & no one can tell, but my body feels VERY different than it did a couple of months ago.

Yeah, it can be hard when the person you want to notice doesn't.

Couple of reasons,
1 - He sees you everyday, so the change has been gradual and he is kind of used to it? Does that make sense? I mean if you saw him prior to the 20lb loss and didn't see him again until after, then he would notice I am sure.

2 - Men are just weird.

Yeah, he said that too. I was just surprised he didn't notice on his own.

Awwww don't feel bad. YOU know there is a difference. This is what counts.

Not to discount that a compliment would sure help though.

With the way things are these days, people are often afraid to say anything since it is not politically correct or considered offensive.

Don't despair, soon those new clothes you will be showing off in will have people noticing. :thumbsup2 It took that for me. I finally went to the next size down and that was the ticket.

Of course it has also helped that I keep a photo montage at my desk with me over the years and I do get the comments about how different I look now.

I also KNOW that it has NOTHING to do with my age! :confused3

You look yourself in the mirror and tell you from me that you look marvelous! This is a fantastic thing you have done and a fete that I am proud of you for managing!

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Thanks Tiger Lily! I don't mention it to people because I feel foolish saying "Hey did you notice I lost weight?" Hopefully soon people will be able to notice. :)

As a guy and a married guy at that I can tell you most guys are afraid to ever comment on a woman's weight. What you are doing is awesome, but it sometimes isn't noticable to people who see you often if not daily. I worked with people daily since I started losing weight and they see pictures pop up on the computer and I get the holy smokes you've lost alot of weight.

Keep up the good work. You will be rewarded! :thumbsup2

Wear tighter clothing. If your clothes are loose on you as you say, no one can see it because the clothes are too baggy.
