I'm so mad. Two 30 point BCV contracts came open today around 3:40pm at the Timeshare store at $90 per point as well as a 50 point BWV contract -all Feb use year. Perfect. :yay::yay: At 5:30 I read the email and first called DVC to find out what they were selling the points for BCV - $106. With the closing costs, TSS was $100 per point. Five minutes later I called TSS and was told all three contracts were taken. AGGHHHHHHH! :headache:

But they did say people jump on the smaller contracts and then tend to back out more than on the larger contracts. I will keep my fingers crossed.

PS: I was on a TSS list or so I thought looking for exactly that at BCV, but was told since my last call was in Spring, my name fell far down the list.

It would be fortunate for you if one backs out, and TTS wouldn't lose anything because they have you in the wings! Best wishes.

You know, I'm not sure that $180 savings is worth aggravation of trying, waiting, waiting, and waiting. Were they loaded? If you bought (if they had your UY) from DVC you would still get '09 and they would be bankable.

That's why we have 4 approx. 25 point BCV contracts, bought direct at different times. When I had the money to buy, we did from Disney and the wait wasn't that long.

Sorry you missed it. Did you ask if you can make a higher offer? I don't know if this works like real property sales or not.

Good luck :)

Bobbi, The savings was unimportant. $180 is a dinner at Le Cellier for the three of us.

DVC was also offering 2009 points on top of 2010 points, as were the TSS contacts. I just did not feel like paying the $106 per point. But lets see what Disney come up with on their webcast.

We will have to meet in July.

Regards

Don't feel too bad corpcomp. Sending pixiedust pixiedust: for the right contract to come your way. I'm not sure why you got the email at 3:40, since according to my email time stamp, TSS sent it at 2:15. I saw it at 2:30 and jumped to the phone--I've been looking for a small BCV resale for over a year, called TSS a couple of times earlier this year when I saw small contracts, and was told that they had sold within an hour.

WHen I spoke to Scot at TSS he said that according to the computer the contracts were still available but that he would send out an IM to the other staff to check that nobody else was in the process of selling them as we spoke--they go that fast.

I still need to discuss the purchase with DH--I was waiting for the confirmation email from TSS, couldn't believe that I'd actually gotten lucky this time, and it never appeared. It was in my spam folder all the time  If DH says no way I'll PM you but he'll probably say yes, we stayed at BCV in August and he loved it.

Thanks. Yes my email states 3:40pm Perhaps they have to send them out in batches as some servers limit the number of emails sent at one time. Good luck with your purchase.

It looks like you weren't too slow then--instead, the email was too slow. In fact, by the time it was sent to you one contract was definitely spoken for and the others might have been as well.
I wonder whether there's a way to be placed higher up on the TSS email priority list or whether it's the luck of the draw and emails get sent out in random batches?
