I'm not sure if there is already a thread like this!

I'm just wondering when is everyones fav time of year to go to DLRP??

I've only ever gone for the Christmas season i love it but would really love to get there for st patricks day or Halloween!

Hopefully il get there for paddys day next march :)

:tink:

I've only ever been in Spring and Summer, and prefer the Spring (but my DDs b-day is in Summer - so you know what that means!)

I would also like to go for Halloween. I do plan on going for my b-day next year (second week in Dec.) so I'll get to enjoy the DLRP Christmas. It will be the frist trip with just me and DD (then 9) and DS (then almost 3), we'll see how that goes?

I havent been in a particular season, i always go off season as i perfer it when queues are low etc. January was a great time to go, even though it rained and rained me and DD had so much fun.

January? hhmm my b'day is in January so thats something else for me to think about now :D id love to be in disney for my b'day id be goin to cafe mickey to party with the characters :P

We have visited at Christmas and I have to say I think hubby and I were more excited than the kids when it started to snow in Main Street, we've also visited for Bonfire Night when they held the firework display on the Lake outside SL and NB. We are going for the first time ever this Halloween, I've always wanted to go at Halloween so I went and booked it last weekend so I'm so excited but apart from that all other trips have been in June or in August and September. We will go again for Christmas as it is so special but it was so cold, I had about 4 layers on and I was still freezing but it was a great excuse to indulge in all the yummy hot chocolate :)

We've been 3 times in March and I do enjoy the fact that there are less crowds and no queues plus we're all celebrating our birthdays then so it's a good excuse to book some nice restaurants.

I would probably have enjoyed the Christmas Season more had it not been so busy but Halloween season was something else - we all loved it and in early October the park was so quiet and the weather was fabulous.

Halloween is definately the favourite season so far, I would really like to book a Summer Season trip though. :)

We book the low season weeks during October and it's while the Halloween stuff is all going on. It's great fun!

Well since we want to try and go once a year we can only afford low season which suits me fine because its alot quieter so you get on the rides quicker and meet more characters. Its really cold though and my friends have said if I saved all the money I spent on ski gear then a summer holiday would be possible!

If we went in the summer then we could only afford once every 2 years.

I think probably every season has its good points so I think you should just make a point of doing them;)

when we left in march 06 the St P decs were getting put up..looked cool!:thumbsup2

I love going around September 11th. The park is empty in September and on September 11th it is really, really empty (for reasons obvious to all I'd imagine)

When we went on Sept 11th in 04 it was so quite every single ride in both parks were walk-ons!!!

Otherwise it would be off peak! However I want to go for Halloween and Christmas too

I've been very off peak in January and also in February half term.
The January trip was good because it was very cheap and the rides were walk ons, but I preferred the atmosphere in February when more guests were in the parks.

I always think of DLRP as a winter destination and WDW as a summer one.

I like November. As well as having special meaning for us, the parks are relatively quiet on weekdays and bearable at weekends. We did a Feb off-season trip earlier this year and it was definitely busier than our usual week in Nov.

I'd like to see it in summer, I'd like to go when the park is open late, eat in restaurants that are normally closed to us, etc - but I just don't 'do' crowds. Busy is fine, hellish crowded is not. so unless I can persuade them to close it just for me then I'll have to rely on all your summer trippies!

Of course mid Nov is already Christmas, too, which kicks off my Christmas season in great style. And its magical.

I've been for Christmas, Halloween and summer.

Christmas was so special and magical :santa:

Halloween was pure fun :yay:

but I like summer best because of the long hours (and also because the school holidays drag on too long if we don't get away!! :lmao: )
