Tell us about AKL! What type of room did you have? Did you participate in any of the AKLodge activities? Thoughts on Boma? etc., etc. Thanx!

We had a savannah view room overlooking Arusha on the 4th floor (may have been slightly better to have been on 2nd or 3rd floor as sometimes the treetops got in the way of the view) but we saw plenty of animals right outside our balcony. We ate in Boma for our evening meal twice and loved the food - so much choice, the coconut chicken stew was gorgeous! We had breakfast there a couple of times and again it was a buffet so you could eat as much as you wanted but most mornings we only wanted cereal so used to eat in the Mara by the swimming pool.

We took advantage of the extra magic hours quite a few times, got to Animal Kingdom at 8 and made the most of that hour before opening to do the rides, stayed at MK and MGM until midnight - it's surprising how busy the parks still are with all the disney guests but it's a great advantage and one to make sure you take!

Wow it sounds like you had a great time. I think our second trip we will be staying at AKL. Glad to hear you really liked it.
