I'm jealous of all of you who keep talking about being snowed in. I have spent the past 3 days being hot in this sticky 82 degree heat down here in Orlando... It's Feb. and we are using air conditioning!!

What's snow look like anyway? Us Floridians never get any.. boohoo :(

DisneyGator....I;m sorry but I really don't feel any real sympathy for your 82 degrees....we have spent 2 days shoveling our drive so we could get out....6 times shoveling..75ft.......I'm exhausted....my kids have another day off school and I probably don't get to work......

Disneygator! 82'..... You are tooooo mean!!!!

Okay, I have an idea. I am sure that any number of folks would be able to switch places with you for a while!!! You know, like a vacation home exchange! :p

it's not mean :) Really though.... after 10 hours of standing in it, in polyester Disney costumes, in a sea of black concrete.. and you are dripping and itchy and sticky, then it rains that typical afternoon Florida rain and you realize it's only Feb, and have to face summer.. and then you come home and see this winter wonderland on t.v. and you've never seen snow, just the 100% humidity of Orlando, you want nice, cold snow..I know what you are saying, t.v can be misleading...I still want snow! send it to me! I'm up for a week trade!

DISNEYGATOR - At least you wear polyester instead of a fuzzy full Character suit! I have felt genuine sympathy for the characters ever since watching Goofy lead an exercise session on Castaway Cay when it was 90 degrees and maybe 80 percent humidity. Snow would have sounded good at that moment.

taswira,

I'll have you know, I have pinched Goofy several times, and he is 100% Dog :)

Okay, here's an idea...I'll trade you a week in the snow in the north....for a week in Texas in August in 100% humidity and 98º temp! Just kidding!

Honestly, it would be fun to trade right now. We haven't really had a winter. Winter to us is if it goes below freezing before dawn. I live south of Houston between NASA and Galveston. We haven't even seen snow that was measurable since I was in the 7th grade....and that was 1972! We pay big bucks every year to go to Colorado. I took my mother there last year so that she could see real snow for the first time in her life...and she's 67!

However, this year we're foregoing the snow in Colorado for a week on the Magic. It will be our first family cruise and our first on the DCL. We leave in less than 3 weeks and we can't hardly wait. I truly hope you guys can get out of the snow quickly. I know it's no fun having that much snow piled up and have to shovel it. Good luck....I hope you're looking forward to a cruise soon, too! :bounce: :Pinkbounc

We do the same season dreamin' up here in Snowy Michigan- we just dream of warm weather when we've had two weeks of sub-zero temps (just one 60 deg. day Lord, pleeeese?), and when it's 90 and muggy we think about skiing. So, right now your warm weather sounds great! Can't wait to get to Orlando. Just want to put my order in for 70's or higher...(pleeeese?) -Gail

Hey Disneygator...you are hysterical!!! Seriously, I am thrilled to have snow and be off tomorrow (teacher). My daughter is home from college due to my second's 16th birthday and I have to drive her back. I thoroughly enjoyed our snowstorm and am looking forward to another day off.....but....I'm really glad to hear than Orlando finally got hot again....ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have TWO feet here! It is almost taller than my little Boo!

Hey- I live in MAINE.... you haven't seen a Winter storm until you have seen the snow swirling and the ocean ANGRY and cold! How about you and I swap homes for a week every January or February?? It was only 30* below zero on Saturday with the windchill figured in. You'll LOVE IT!;)

Yeah. I can go the rest of my life without ever seeing snow again.

Although, I really don't mind TWO WHOLE DAYS off from work because of the weather. Been spending a lot of time on the boards. ;)

I have to agree that winter is getting just TOOO long this year. Weather report said today was the first time since Late SEPT! we'd had more than 3 days in a row without precipitation (that means rain and then snow - all of it COLD).

Last Tuesday night security popped into the classroom and said we were closing the building right then - hit the road. Yea, right. 2 feet of snow on the ground and the expressway was moving at 10 MPH when we were moving at all. My normal 40 minute drive took forever. And we didn't even get a snow day on Wed!

82 degrees? I'll take it! I haven't been warm in months.

Mmouse37 I peeked at your pics just out of curiosity and laughed out loud. We have nearly the exact same house! Deck! and Dog!

I'll send you my snow...

I have no place to toss it anymore... The snowbank at the end of my driveway was over my waist. I cleared the it twice yesterday and gave up until this morning and there was another 12" in the driveway.

Stay warm down there in Florida, I'd love to see temps in the 40's!!

Jeanny :-)

At the moment, you can no longer see where my grill is on my deck bc it is completely buried in the snow. There is snow up past the cross bars on DDs swingset, and the old Little Tykes playhouse is buried up to the roof. All you can see is the Yellow top. My 2 80 lb. Labs can barely break a trail to do their business - the snow comes over the top of the younger, shorter one. After the walk was shoveled, the piles on either side are taller than DD and she is 4'5" tall.

DH mentioned this am that he is no longer sure where our pool is located.

Normally I love the white stuff, but I think yesterday's storm put me over the top. I dreamed that our roof caved in, and I keep thinking about what's going to happen in my basement when it all starts to melt. And here's the kicker. It's only Feb. 18! There's over a month to go!!!

DH "informed" me this morning that this week in the northern part of the country we gain 18 minutes of daylight. Oh goody - it is still frightfully cold, there is too much white stuff out there (although some compacting from our dump last week has occurred so it doesn't look at bad) and here goes mcnuss reminding us of how long we have to go yet! :p

Hang in there east coasters! Those of us in Michigan send you our full empathy and a little pixie dust to help get through it!
