So we are talking about our upcoming trip to WDW... My 9 year old is complaining about the drive and my 5 year old pipes up and says "Yeah, but as soon as we get there we are going to throw our suitcases in the room and go see Mickey." A chip off the old block, she is. Only thing is we are not going to see Mickey the day we get there, or the next day. Or at least we didn't plan to. I think I may have to add one more charecter meal to our plans/budget. This is going to go over great with DH who already thinks I am insane for telling them about the trip so far out (We go May 30th).

What park are you doing to first? Will it be you first full day at WDW? You can find Mickey at any of the parks, though it is a little harder at Epcot sometimes. If you can put your daughter off until the next morning, ask any CM as soon as you enter where to find Mickey. They can find out and let you know. Some kids will not enjoy themselves until they see MICKEY. I agree that if the budget allows, go for a character meal, Chief Mickey, as soon as you arrive.

If you were planning on going to Epcot your first day, you could try the Ice Cream Social. It's about $7.oo per person and it's a less expensive way to get some alone time with the big cheese. Just an idea.
