Whats wrong with me!!!!!!!1:confused3
lol!
I went to Ross the other day and happen to see a few good small Christmas gifts for dd. I didnt buy because dd was with me. Then we headed to another Ross and dd found a roxy purse she really liked. I thought hmmm perfect for Xmas gift, but I didnt buy because she was with me.

Last night dd and I made a box of brownie /cookies mix. I started thinking hmmm what treats will I make for Xmas eve. Whats wrong with me, its only September-lol!

I've never been bit my the xmas bug this early!

I dont plan on buy a lot of gift until closer to xmas. I do plan on picking up a few things dd likes as we go. Its hard because we are always together. I'm have to stop by the store after work to see if the items dd likes are still there.

Tomorrow I'm adding $200 to my xmas account.

Thank goodness the stores in my area havent started putting xmas things out. Halloween is barely coming out. I think last year the stores lost out on a lot of $$ because there was so much halloween and xmas stuff on clearance. Wal-mart had halloween stuff at 25% and not much sold, then 50% and still a lot, then 70% and the stuff finally started flying off the shelf.

Well, I can't help because I've already picked up my first two Christmas gifts:banana: DH laughed and asked if I was pregnant again bec that's the only time I shop crazy and early since I'm normally on bed-rest by Christmas.

DD and I were out shopping this past week and places already were putting out Christmas decorations.

I can't say anything either. I have already bought a few. I am more of a shop through the year picking things up kind of shopper. Back in April or May, Amazon had a Disney story book set that is normally $60 on sale for $12. It was too good of a discount to pass up for DD. I grabbed DS a new wallet and DD a foam playhouse at Toys R Us a few weeks ago. They are moving so they are liquidating all the inventory on the shelves. 40% off was a great deal. I also saw some Zombie playing cards that we think DS will love so grabbed those for his stocking.

I have also been busy filling up the wishlists on Amazon that I keep running for distant family members.

I need to make my list of who we need to buy for. Dh doesn't like to start until the last minute. He likes to buy gift cards for majority of his adult family members.

As far as my dd I plan on keeping my eyes open for stocking stuffers. Her bday is also in dec so it always hard to figure out

I have this same problem. DD was born December 7th.

Not sure if you are early or late. Last few years I have been "ready" mentally for Christmas about January 10th.......2 weeks after Christmas.

Of course I just flipped through the channel guide and The Hallmark channel is running "A Walton Easter" right now.

I am shopping for Christmas :santa:. Making my lists, kids making their gifts, buying the presents, ordering some of the gifts.

My excuse, I have to ship

The one and only time I had my shopping done early and wrapped was when I was preggo with DD. My due date was the beginning of Dec so I knew I had to have everything done before then. Luckily I did because I had a C-section.

My problem has always been I couldnt shop to early because I didnt know what she would get for her Bday. Dh has a big family so she always have gotten a lot of gifts. Last year I was going to skip a big party and do something little but everyone started asking about it because they thought they didnt get an invitation and seemed disappointed that she might not have a party. Some said they look forward to her parties :confused3 we have simple parties but its the only party that everyone will show up to-lol! Last year people were already asking if i was going to have a quincera for her, i told them no , to expensive. I had a few say oh we can all help. I declined it way to much $$ that will be coming out of my pocket-lol!

Usually dh and I will xmas shop for dd after her.

My side of the family picks names. Dh's side still buy gifts. Actually there only a few of us that by gifts for everyone. It get harder as the family grows. Dh will buy 6 giftcards for 7 adults and 12 gifts. I'm going to try and get dh to agree to go shopping Thanksgiving week. I'm also hoping to start some baking a lil early to

Yesterday I went to the .99 store and bought some Halloween decorations and some Christmas stocking stuffers-lol!

I bought dd some foil nail things, at wal-mart a pack runs for $5-$6. I ended up buying her 6 @.99 each and i bought her some hair bands.

DD wants some jumbo hair rollers but Not sure how big rollers there are. I have no idea what else to get her. She has some volunteer work schedule for a school club shes in so during her hours I plan on getting an earlier start on some shopping

Im almost done already.... Incence were on sale (mom and aunt). And come on, I wont find a coffin (for sister) at christmas. FOund a few more things at earth sense but gatta wait till payday! Ill be done by thanksgiving

Is it sad I'm almost done with my Christmas shopping already :rotfl2:

I picked up a bunch of hats at the Lids $5 sale a month or so ago, for gifts for various friend's kids I need to buy for.

DD wants a new iPod this year so that will eat up most of my budget for her. I've picked up a few other random things here and there, will add another one or two things closer to Christmas, and call it done. But she's easy for me to buy for - there's ALWAYS something she's telling me she wants :lmao:

My mother has always complained she didn't know where her ancestors came from on her father's side so a few months ago I started researching for her, figuring her family would be like my father's family and would have immigrated within a few generations. Turns out I couldn't have been more wrong. It took me 15 generations :crazy2: in some cases to finally get them out of America, mostly back to England - a lot of her family came over during the Great Migration in the 1630s. I've put in a HUGE amount of time and spent several hundred dollars figuring it all out so I figure I'll just have a family tree chart printed for her for her Christmas present. As of right now, it's about 12 feet long so even though it's a simple gift, it'll still have a "wow" factor. I'll add a nice binder full of all the documents and stories I've pulled together. Since she's elderly, and has just about everything else she needs or wants, it will be perfect.

That leaves me needing to just get presents for my 2 nephews - always a pain since they never seem to want anything. Those will probably get bought at the last minute!

I wish I could get more into the mood earlierrr -_-
I wait until sometime in November to start, maybe ill try sooner this year....

This is excellent!! I bet she will be so thrilled!! I didn't get much of a reaction, but my favorite gift I've ever given was a photo album to all the relatives with pics when they were young matched with pics of our boys at the same ages that looked JUST like them. It was very time consuming, tons of fun and fortunately not that expensive. I can't imagine trying to trace ancestry back through. So neat.

As for ready for Christmas, I too am an all year shopper. I'm in my main push now, though, since we're going to be in Disney for the 3 weeks before Christmas. The boys and I will be back 2 days before our first Christmas party :santa: so I'll be decorating beginning of Nov instead of Thanksgiving. I'll do all my baking and gift wrapping and planning during Nov. A whole month early for me but I can't wait already!! Waiting to go to Disney is so hard, this will help it go faster I hope.

I used to start shopping early but I always wound up with too much stuff a lot of which my kids did not even want. I will most likely get a pandora charm for each of my daughters, a video game for my 2 younger boys, a video game and I have no clue what else for my oldest son who is deployed.

I am going to start buying gift cards for them. I know it is a thoughtless gift but they buy what they want as they see it on sale so I never know what they already have.

I am just about finished!! I think this may be record timing for me! The last items on the list I will be able to pick up as I grocery shop or whatever because their just going to be gift cards. But all the actual presents will be done! Yay!!
For coworkers and all this year instead of buying little cheap gifts, I plan on baking a lot and making goodie bags. I have already bought ingredients so I can try out new things to make sure they work!
I love, love, love Christmas!!

I love Christmas and stalk my Black Friday message board when they start leaking the ads. I tried to start buying gifts before Black Friday a couple years ago and ended up paying a little more than on BF so I realized what works best for me is to buy all at once during BF.

I have so many people to shop for at Christmas that I have to start early or I'd never get it all done, so I've been putting small things aside for chrismtas since the summertime. If I see something that I think will make a nice gift and it's a good price, I'm all for buying it early!

All big items I wait until Black Friday and beyond to purchase in case of a sale, don't wanna miss out on that, but otherwise I'll stash things away like crazy!

I have to say though I went to a couple craft stores the other day and they all have all their Christmas decorations out and I did grab some! I love decorating for Christmas so I couldn't help it...

We only buy stuff for the kids in the family. So that is 5 girls - 4 of them are done :thumbsup2 I have not bought for DD yet since we have nowhere to hide them!

We have 3 "grown" kids that get gift cards so those are easy. Other than that we are done - unless I find something I really want but it is out of our regular budget, then I just say it is a Christmas gift (DH already got a new smartphone he considers his Christmas gift).

My problem is that I usually buy presents early, but then get caught up in all the excitement in the lead up to Christmas and wind up buying more stuff! I work in a shopping centre, so it is a bit of a problem!

I bought the first present a few months ago (a pair of Pandora earrings my sister has been wanting for ages were half price) and my mum's present this year (and I think next year, plus her birthday in the middle) will be her Disneyland trip, so I'm already well on the way to being organised!

My dd's bday is the first week of december so i have to buy for her bday and xmas.

I asked dd what she want and this was on her list

-jumbo rollers
-curlformers
-itune gift card
-hollister giftcard

I have money in a xmas account so i will buy the giftcards closer to her bday and xmas. The curlformers I need to find what store has the best deal. Hopefully her list will grow
