I'm Impatient....

I called our guide on Thursday and put down our deposit for an add-on at HHI.

The points were in my account Saturday morning and I quickly called to bank them since I have a Feb UY.

Now what? I know there will be paperwork coming...how long will that take? We are financing, but only because we were unsure of the amount of our income tax return and we wanted to get our 2010 points also. We'll pay it off in less than a year.

When should I look for the paperwork? Will I get anything else? A new member card? Goodies? Our first contract was resale so everything was done via e-mail. This is our first time buying direct.

Congrats on the add-on! We received our paperwork about a week to a week and a half later. The points should be added on under your previous DVC account number so you should not need a new card. Not too many other goodies here. I did hear of a friend receiving a lithograph picture as a gift a couple of months later. We have owned since July of 2010 and haven't gotten anything other than the joy of owning.

We bought direct first, and now closing resale.

Oh yeah! You will have to get your contract notarized. Not with resale, maybe that was because we bought cash with resale.

With our add ons we receive only the paperwork to sign. You already have the Member Card, and no goodies. But, we sure love those extra points!

Congratulations! Did you know that you can purchase the add on with a Disney Visa and get 6 months, 0% interest?

We did that with a 30 point add on in August. Matter of fact, I even had them delay final payment for a month so I could miss my statement date and actually get 7 months!

It was I needed since I was paying for the add on with the money I earn as an adjunct instructor. I knew I would have the money by the end of the semester and this allowed me to buy and have the points for my 11 month booking window in September.

I don't have to pay off the amount until April! It took about 7 days to get the paperwork. Since we didn't finance, we did not have to get things notorized. But, that was all we got with the add on.

You will get a fedex envelop next week some time just sign next to the little mickey heads and send it back. They will move as fast as you want to move. That is the major advantage with buying direct...they move very fast and you do not have to be concerned in any way.
