What is the best rate you received or heard of for a BWI room for an early Dec visit? I'm hoping to get a "great" deal for December '06. What did you pay in '05 using an AP or AAA ? I'm trying to schedule a suprise trip for my wife and me for our 35th anniversary.

Welcome to the DIS!

You should be able to get a 15% AAA discount now. Have you considered renting DVC points on the Villas side? You can rent a studio for a week for about $1200 including all taxes. Check out the Disney Vacation Club rent/trade board for more info: http://www.disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=7

But ... be aware that early December at BWV books very, very quickly and if you're interested in renting points for that time I would pull the trigger on it in the next couple of weeks.

BWI standard room rack rate for 2006 is $305 per night plus tax.

AAA should lower this by 15% to around $259 plus tax.

In 2005 the Florida resident discount for BWI was $234 plus tax, AP rates are usually the same as Florida resident, if available.

You said you are trying to 'get a "great" deal' - what does "great" mean to you?

Michael
