I'm hoping that after the Direct/Resale distinction kicks in (after March 31?) that we might be able to again use our points for hotel-side stays the Grand California.

I've been hearing the DLR CM's talking about this potential shift in normal-ops for the past 18 months. Please may it come true!

I'd love to see it, but I highly doubt it. Doesn't hurt to wish though.....

From what I saw posted, DVD actually owns all the rooms in the 2009 addition that includes both the villas and regular hotel rooms. The dues budget for GCV includes the hotel rooms but DVD retains ownership and pays the dues on them. So it would be very easy for them to start selling them and putting them into DVC inventory.
