I'm hearing stuff about changes to those in wheelchairs? What are the changes?

I have wound up in a wheelchair the last two trips we've had. I make it for one day before my disc acts up and I can't walk or stand for long periods of time. Ideally, I'd still be able to wait in line like in DCA so I don't get glared at but since the lines usually don't allow for that...what are they doing now that's different?

Anybody have experience with the handicapped protocol now?

Hi! In DCA since the lines are ADA compliant, you wait in the line. In Disneyland, you go to the exit area of most rides and you can get a return time. This will be equal to the current stand by time. Some rides, you use the same line as everyone else. For example, Buzz Lightyear, you use the standby line. Matterhorn, wait in the regular line and just before you enter the chalet, they will direct you to the HA area. Alice, go to the exit and they will scan your ticket, and everyone else in your party's ticket, and give you a time to return.Return when they tell you to, and then you will ride.

Thank you so much! I was a little stressed out not knowing what to expect. I'm hoping I don't end up in a chair again, but if I do it sounds like it isn't a huge issue.
