For the past 3 years this is the week that we were at DLP and this year we are sitting at home feeling miserable
I am suffering severe withdrawal symptoms. It just doesn't seem right sitting at home on the 30th of November.
My daughter's birthday is the 26th of November and since she's been 4 we've headed off a couple of days after her birthday and spent 5 days at DLP. I blame the economy that we are not there this year!! Anyone else in the same sad boat?? Obviously my daughter can't remember life before she was 4 so as far as she's concerned a trip to Disney is just "what you do" after your birthday. Trying to explain the concept of not having enough money to a 7 year old is tough but I guess lots of kids who grew up in the so-called boom years are learning a few hard lessons now (next thing I'll be saying "when I was young there was none of this you know"!!)
For those of you lucky enough to be there for this year's Christmas season please post lots of photos because even though they will make me yearn to be there I would still like to see them.
Maybe if we're lucky we'll get there next Christmas and experience whatever they have going on for the 20th anniversary. In the meantime I've bought my shares and sent off for my shareholders card so whenever I do get to go again at least I'll have the novelty of trying out Salon Mickey and will get discounts on my meals and purchases (let's hope they don't change those rules in the meantime given all the losses they're making!!)
