I woke up this morning exceptionally missing DL . I got on www.toursdepartingdaily.com and looked at pictures until I started crying.
We were just there for Christmas. We had to skip our "late Winter/early Spring" trip this year. DD12 gets her braces on next week and that ate up any budget for extras. We wont get a chance to get to DL until May.
Now I know I'm being ridiculous. I should be so thankful that we are blessed enough to visit DL as much as we do. There are a lot of families that never get to go.
So what the heck is wrong with me?
It's like DL is my drug and I need a fix!

There is nothing wrong with you. Your fine, you just have the Disney bug like everyone here does. You have caught the Disney magic bug and believe me its worse than any flu bug. I drive my family nuts about Disney this and Disney that daily.

A great place to get a Disney fix is You Tube. All the rides can be found there and you can just watch them until your heart is content and it eases the missing part for a little while. And this place helps too.

I think it helps knowing I'm not the only one.
My Husband was raised on DL. His Grandfather lived in Long Beach and he spent significant time there.
I went only once as a child and remember it be a horrible trip. We tried to do it in one day. My DH reintroduced me to it as an adult. He now says he created a monster.
Today just seems exceptional. Like I'm homesick or something.

Oh believe me, your not the only one. I tear up every time I leave Disneyland not knowing if I will ever be able to make it back or not due to money and I'm not getting any younger and the trip times are running out. I constantly watch the old video recordings I have taken while visiting and I also go to You Tube and watch alot of those too. It puts me in my happy place.

Your husband sounds like me. As a child I lived in Westminster and I would ride my bike their constantly as a kid.

Just let it be known that you are not alone here, Disney comes out of my mouth to someone at least once a day, and most days way more than that. I am known to discuss our next visit on the plane ride home from the visit we just completed. Its an addiction, but at least its a good addiction. :cool1:

Thank you. :)

I also mention it at least once a day (probably more). I work at a school and it's gotten to the point where when families announce they are taking a DL vacation someone will say "Go talk to Mrs. Eyerly. She's an expert". Haha which I do not consider myself, but having season passes for most of the time the last 4 years they think I am. :)

You are most welcome. I think I'll go watch my old videos now, you got me thinking about it. :goodvibes

Don't worry about it, for the parks are open everyday and will be waiting for you and your family with nice smiles and open arms upon your next arrival and visit.
I do know the feeling too, for when I have to leave I really never do know if I might be able to make it back, not due to distance but rather fate. One can really never be too sure about what may or may not be around the corner (As it were) It is important to think about the here and now and not so much anything else in my opinion.

Thank you. I was better today. I browsed Disney stuff online this morning while drinking my coffee and didn't cry once! ;)

Have to go back to work today after having all last week off. I know several other families at work went to DL this week. Not me. :( I woke up thinking about it. I hope they all have lots of pictures for me to look at.

Lana :)

Ok.... had a lazy day. Spent most of it on the computer looking at Disneyland stuff. Gotta love You Tube.
Now I'm craving DL again. :/

I feel for you. I just got back a few days ago and I already want to go back. Wish I could afford the annual pass. These boards get me through the day, especially since I'm off of work this week and have nothing better to keep my mind busy.

We have annual passes. It's the time away that is hard to pull off. :/

I completely understand. I got a new job late last year so time off is MORE difficult plus I lost my hotel discounts..lol.

Even so I have my Dinsey withdrawals too and come here to get my fix :)

Me too, so I know the feeling well. Have you considered an AP? Disney has a monthly payment plan for all Ca residents, which has been in effect for awhile now. Their plans start at as little as @ $15.00 a month for So Cal residents.
Hopefully there will be a plan that works out very well for you and your family. :goodvibes
