I'm having a Creative Memories "party"!!!

I'm actually kinda excited!!!! I've never been to one of these and have been interested in their items. I did purchase a corner rounder and entered myself into a drawing and I won a free show for 6 people.

I can't wait!!!

I just went to one last night - they are soooooo much fun! It is really nice to have other people there to bouce ideas off of! Hope you have fun! Just hold on to your wallet because it is very easy to rack up that bill!
I am having one next month! We all pay $10 but she buys pizza - or chinese- in addition to the regular party stuff!

I am about twenty minutes from Worcester ZPT. Glad to help you if I can. My CM consultant must know someone in your area!

Note: My first CM party I attneded the consultant was DEAD set against any product other than CM's. I LOVE Michael's crafts and that really turned me off to CM.
But now I have a consultant who not only sells the CM but sometimes has extra stuff (dec. paper - stickers) in her bag from other stores that we can use! She knows the quality is great at CM but sometimes you just need a little more variety!

THis was important to me because I am a sticker and paper junky!

I love them!! I get some really good ideas... We are starting a seasonal workshop which is like a crop only the CMC will talk about some of the new stuff, etc... Can't wait!!

Is there a Michael's in Worcester? It's a good 90 minute or so drive for me, but I have been aching to get to one and I'd definitively make the trip. I've been to Worcester several times and it's not a bad drive. When I was pregnant with my own, I could not stay away from the Baby Specialties store! We don't have those type of stores around here, so always worth the trip. The only other Michael's I know of is in Portland Maine and I'm not planning to get there until Labor Day weekend.

Why would CM consultants be dead set against people using other products??

I have heard this before. It is not like there isn't any other products out there that are just as good right? I have never used or tried CM products as hearing this turned me off.

I know that in doing business everyone wants their company to be the best but I don't think other companies should be put down in the process!

There is so much for scrapping variety out there-why limit yourself!

I work with two CM consultants and they both are really okay with you using other products. Of course, they would prefer you purchase your sb supplies from them, but that is because it is how they support their family. But I have been told about the CM consultants who will not allow you to use products outside of CM in their classes/workshops.

Their are a lot of things that I still like in the CM line, but after 9 months of scrapping, I am becoming more and more bored with their stuff. I am finding myself buying more stuff at the lss. CM should just start coming out with more things like printed papers and vellums in a variety of themes and patterns, a better assortments of stickers (after a while, all their stickers start to look alike), etc. I really love their tools, tape runner and albums. I also really love the K and Company albums.

Okay, I hope I haven't offended any CM consultants.

I purchase quite a bit from CM (love their albums), but my CMC
will not let me attend her crops or workshops, because I also use other products. While she agrees that it is my decision to choose, she does not want her other customers to SEE the
contraband that I am using. Therefore I crop with a group of
women who do not care which products I use. Oh, and I do still buy CM albums.

Grover I think there is many reason why, The first and this is strickly my opinion the CMC is a sales person so if someone comes in with a different album or style then they may actually take away sales. Plus is I was really out to make money and create a business I think I would use only the products I sold but thankfully I am a hodge podge scrapper if I like I use it.

I must say I absolutely love all of the CM tools I have purchased and use them all. Not one CM tool sits! I just got the personal trimmer and LOVE IT! But I love top loading and colors, stickers chalks and anything else!

One other thing I will say and this I learned from a person who works for a company but I can't remember which one, it is a rub off stencil/ sticker thing and they sell on QVC. (I was at a scrap with her) any way her company tried to get CM to sell their products. She said the amount of testing was unbelievable and something with their product didn't pass, Something about the inner part wasn't acid free/linage free but the outside coating or adhesive was ok. So with knowing that tidbit one must feel CM does have some superior properties. But as my friends and I feel, albums last I have one that was my mom's as a child on black paper and little corners. Pictures are still in great shape. So I will continue to use what ever I want.

I have a great cm consultant! WE do crop parties once a month and not only can you bring your own 'contraband' she has some too! For 'tools' we all use CM stuff but she realizes that the selection of papers and stickers is limited! Its too bad some cm's mave that bad attitude because they actually decrease sales they could have had! I know my cm likes that I buy her $40 albums and doesn't mind when I have 1.60 Michaels stickers


Is there a Michael's in Worcester? Rumbly tummy-
I live closer to the Leominster store - but I know there is one in Worcestor but I don't know where! You could check their web site though!
