I'm having a Bob moment!

I have some friends from my hometown coming to visit me in a few weeks and I'm taking them "on the town" for a fancy, shmancy, trendy meal. I live WAY out in the 'burbs of Kansas City and it's about a 30 minute drive to the trendy eateries downtown. I picked out a place that's quite a drive from my house and I'm contemplating practicing the drive and scoping out the location, parking, etc....so that things will go smooth for us!

I had been listening to the Bob memorial shows and I remember Corey saying that if the gang was ever going somewhere, chances are that Bob went a few days ahead to scope it out (best routes, parking, etc...)

Definitely something Bawb would have done. It's amazing how many things relate to Bawb in some way.

Where you going to eat. We visit relatives in KC once in a while, but don't make it to the downtown area you are probably referring to very often. Two of my favorite restaurants in KC are Yia Yia's in the south part of town and Grand Street Station which is more in the downtown area.

Yia Yia's is on the short list! Also Brio on the Plaza, One80 in Westport, and the Tempo Cafe at JoCoJuCo (community college) art museum.

Don't know yet what we'll decide on.

I've eaten at Yia Yia's and Brio - very nice. Yia Yia's has a great Sunday Brunch (they have a location in St Louis, where I'm from.) My husband's originally from the KC area and we still have many friends and family there.

What is Brio's like? We're always looking for recommendations of good restaurants.
