It's now only 55 sleeps until our trip to DLP! Yay!
I decided to look on DLP magic at the ride closures for when we visit and Peter Pan is closed the for our entire trip :'-( I'm absolutely gutted! It's mine and the kids favourite ride. I know there is so much to be excited about but i can't help but be a bit sad!
:-(

I know the feeling! We missed it out over Easter weekend because the queues were just far too long, and we get there the 16th September so it could be do-able on the evening but I would have loved for it to be open the whole time, it's something I can remember from trips when I was young :( There are so many closures in one go, too, I can't help but feel a little disappointed!

:( If the Sept opening hours for things are similar to Oct, looks like we will have to squash Autopia in on arrival day or on the day we leave!

I know how you must feel - on our last trip It's A Small World was closed the whole time - I was so disappointed for DD but it is amazing how well they cope, as you say there is so much else to keep them entertained!

It's also a great reason to go back again!! :)

Well I've managed to get my fix by watching on YouTube! ;)
I don't think we'll be returning any time soon as DH wants to save and go to WDW next :(
I've had a look this morning on the app and they've added even more closures!! Parachute drops are now close the exact time we are there, i was so excited for our trip when we booked and the more I read the less excited I get. I won't go in a negative frame of mind and I really hope I'm proved wrong.
I suppose it's because this trip has cost us so much money and we haven't had a "proper" holiday in 4 years I just want it to be perfect. :s

I went the sticky and almost afraid to look at mid October, but I will go and see. Low and behold, October hours are not posted? I do understand that things have to be maintained but it should be during the slowest time.

I just went and checked our dates we are so limited with what we can do any way and now they have Casey,Peter pan, phantom manor and parachute all closed whilst there guess we will be seeing more princesses then we had planned!

It may not be much comfort, but we rode it on Saturday as one of our first rides and it was well overdue for fixing IMHO! it was really jerky and rough, and alsmost too dark to see anything in some places (dirty lights? I'm sure it wasn't that dark before!) It always used to be our favourite but DH said he doesn't care if he never rides it again:crazy2:

I agree - we thought it was over rated ! I guess you love it when you say its your fav - but our Peter Pan mad boys - did not enjoy the ride at all ! As above it just jesked us about for a few minutes after a 45min queue - will not be rushing back !

Well you've made me feel better about it being closed now! ;) I haven't been on it for 4 years.
I just need some bad stories about phantom manor, parachute drop and casey jnr train and I won't feel bad about all the closures!! ;) x

BooHoo-I am crying with you-we love Peter Pan and Phantom Manor! You will still have a great time!

Parachute drop has massive queues and no fast pass - and it only goes up and down 3 times, so you might have a 45+ minute wait for less than one minute ride. We didn't bother - there's a good photo op juts before the queue area which makes it look like you're parachuting, so we just did that:thumbsup2

Peter Pan used to be a magical swoopy ride - jerky and dim just shows its overdue for an upgrade!

I also thought PP Flight was very dark in June - couldn't see anything ' flying ' over London at all. Definitely needs sorting.

Parachute Drop does have single rider if you don't have to ride together.

Try not to let it dampen your spirits. I was devastated when I read all the closures for our visit to DLR last year - Splash Mountain, Winnie the Pooh, Star Tours, what is now Goofy's Sky School and there were others too, plus no parades... And we were only a couple of months away from the opening for The Little Mermaid ride too.

But you know what, there was so much else to enjoy once we got there that we hardly even noticed those closures and the lack of parades! And TBH I'm not sure how we would have made time for it all anyway :rotfl:
