I'm graduating from high school this year, can I work for Disney this summer?

for my school, I took 2 disney classes and registered through my school for those classes to count 6 hours each so I was still a full time student. Basically, I just did all the work for the disney classes and a few additional things for my school, like a few short papers about the things I was learning in class. For my school, it counted as 2 business classes (BUS 110 and BUS 230), even though i didn't take business classes at Disney (I took Creativity & Innovation).

I don't know if that made sense or not lol, but maybe you can see if your school will at least count something towards your major, they have a wide variety of classes (look at their website). They don't have summer alumni CPs every summer, but they do this year so they might next year too :) Or maybe you can make up the classes u missed while on the CP over the summer. I hope some of my ramblings helped. probably not haha =p

I went to SCAD for Animation and did the program after I graduated last Fall ^_^ I know a lot of people that did it during school too and looking back at it, I wish I had take a semester off and done it between classes. Go talk to career services and they can get you a meeting or info of people still at SCAD that did the program you could talk to.

I'd say, do your first year of classes since it's all your building-block classes and you can really get a feel for the school, build some friendships there and put in for the CP during your winter quarter for the fall quarter. That way you'll only miss Fall quarter and not Winter AND Spring. Not to mention Fall quarter is awesome because you get to experience MNSSHP, MVMCP, the food and wine festival and CM discounts. There's lots of great stuff those 4-5 months. Unless you decide to extend and stay a year at Disney, then you'll have a whole year off to work there.
It's a great experience and you can work on building your portfolio the way you want it while you're there, win/win :thumbsup2
