delivered I didn't tip them! I spent over $28,000 on a television. The store can tip them, they just made a hefty penny off of me! Between tipping delivery men and putting gas in my Hummer, this world is just trying to nickel and dime me to DEATH!

Well I do hope you've upgraded from that one. Perhaps you can start your own thread about it. :teeth:

Honestly, we bought a 55 inch Sony LCD/rear projectionTV, and I only tipped the guy $10, and I didn't feel cheap at all. The TV only weighed 102 pounds, and we had already bought the stand we wanted and had it in place. Dh hooked up the entire thing himself (he had also prewired our house...he does this sort of thing on weekends for extra money here and there) so I didn't feel they needed to be paid a lot for rolling a big cardboard box into my house and helping DH set it on a stand.

Now, the next question is, do you have the mackdaddy remote control? We just got this last week. I went from FIVE remotes (TV, receiver, DVD, VCR, Cablebox/DVR) to ONE. This is the best thing ever. I could land planes with it! It has rechargeable batteries, has a little LCD screen, and it was so easy to set up and use. It also fixes itself if a component doesn't work correctly. You press "help" and it goes through and asks you questions. I hated it at first, I'm resistant to change, but now I love having ONE remote. Sony also makes a good universal remote that is actually a touch screen.

Mackdaddy Remote

I'll have to tell DH about that one. He has too many remotes. We have that Tivo one also. Would this take care of that one too?

It has a watch PVR option on it.. (which is personal video recorder) We have a Time Warner cablebox with DVR built in and have had no trouble.

Papa, I think we could have went with the mackteen, myself, but you can't tell DH anything. He did get it for a lot less than that price, though, the guy he helps install sound systems with occasionally ordered it for him at his price.

We bought the Sony with the touch screen a couple of years ago. I swear it took me 6 months before I could change the channel on my own

This Logitech is MUCH simpler, it looks just like my cable remote, with the little screen at the top, which asks you simple yes/no questions or gives you options, and you press the button beside it.

My friend Heath has the Sony...and he's quite proficient with it. I never quite got the hang of it. I'd want to change the channel, and end up turning the ceiling fan on!

I don't blame you one bit, MosMom!

When I fly over Jacques from Paris on my private jet to style my DD's hair for Prom, I do not tip him, either. I mean, come one, the man insists that I fly him first class, have my limo pick him up CURBSIDE at the airport, have the mini fridge stocked with his favorite wines and champagne, and caviar. Then he expects me to have one of my 4 guest houses throughly cleaned and for his exclusive use.

 The nerve of some people!

What's the big deal about a 200lb tv? :confused3 I have an older tv that weighs 400lbs! :teeth: And I didn't tip when they delivered it! The newer tv's weigh alot less!
