My friend and I are heading to DL for March Break!!! March 17-24!!!

Oh yes! The planning is so much fun, especially here on the Dis.

We've found what we think is a good deal at the Howard Johnson. I love my Disney hotels, but I normally stay value at WDW. We don't think we can afford the Disney hotels in DL. We've booked a Premium 2 queen room (which means a Disney view) for $1000 for the seven nights. Is that a good price? Since we're staying off site, we want to walk to the parks!

True, although my sister still hasn't taken her kids. She's only been to Disney World twice, once with no parks, we just went shopping in Orlando, and the second was another short shopping trip, with a day in Epcot. They will eventually forgive you!

I'm glad to hear that. I think we'll really like it. It will be weird NOT staying on property, but we'll be closer than any hotel at WDW I've stayed at. We couldn't even walk from the Grand Floridian. I love that we'll have a Disney view!

We booked Execu-car December 2009 and were pleased with them. They just took our family to DCA. I hope they are still around for this December. We had no use for a car while we were at DL/DCA.

We are trying to figure out if it is better to rent a vehicle or rely on some kind of transport. How are you getting to DL from the airport? I am on a research mission.

We are thinking about using the Disneyland Resort Express. The website says no reservations needed. We're also just doing Disneyland, so we can walk from our hotel to DL and CA. Then we're planning to do a tour of LA seeing some of the main sights: The Chinese Theatre, Rodeo Drive etc. We'll just meet the bus wherever. We're not renting a car at all. It's such a short trip, I hope we can do everything we want to!

Execu-car? I've never heard of that one. Is it like a car service?

Hi, yes execu-car is a town car service (acutally ours was a van). We were quite pleased with our round-trip experience.

I've found that waiting for a shuttle to fill is not a good use of our time or vacation dollars.

Ouch! My head hurts! I think we need to look into our transportation again. I want that settled. I never went to WDW before they had DME, so I don't like this unsure thing.

My family and I will be there the same week as you guys and we are staying at Hojos too! We are going to fly into LAX and will rent a car to drive to San Diego for a day or two then spend 5 days at DL.

We have been to Disney World 3 times but never to Disneyland. I have been trying to do some research and figure out show times and parades etc. but am finding it difficult since they haven't published the park schedules yet. It is so different planning a trip to DL. Thank goodness for the Disboards!
