I'm going to give up the DIS for Lent.
I was thinking of all the things I could give up that would really be a sacrifice. Is it sad that giving up the DIS is going to be harder than giving up Diet Pepsi, French Fries, or half my spending money each paycheck???!??
What I'm giving up is wandering aimlessly through the boards literally for an hour at a time (or more). I'm going to spend that time in other (more productive to the outsider) ways. Plus, I might actually have a conversation with my husband after the kids go to bed instead of reading and typing. I'm going to keep listening to the Podcast (I can't go cold turkey!!!), and I'm making my husband, who's been a lurker for a little while now, get a screen name tonight so I can get important updates through him. I keep insisting to him that it ISN'T cheating. So, if he keeps me updated on the big news around here, I'll be ok...right???
See you after Easter!!

Only you guys wouldn't laugh at me for saying this!!!

I'm just not that strong. I've lost almost 100 pounds (the old fashioned way, no surgery, etc.), and I could easily give up any sort of food (except maybe fruit), but golly, I just don't think I could give up the boards!
See you Sunday (and yes, you do get Sunday off - Sundays are feast days, always and forever!).
