As you are booked now your price is "locked" where it is at even if you change categories to what the price would have been were it available. I would keep checking the site for the next few days in case people let their holds go, in which case you may be able to snap up the category you wanted.

We were moving a 2021 Alaska to 2022 9 night Southern Caribbean. I really wanted a 7a, but by the time I got someone, 7c was gone and all the 6's were gone and I ended up with a 5c.

I'll keep watching to possibly get the other category, but dang, I don't think I want to wait like that again to change .

You can easily switch rooms on the website now - you wouldnt need to call in again thankfully! The one-off cruises are always super popular, despite the high price tag they command. People grab and think about that high price... then they drop off after the 3 day hold. With the sheer number of FCC from cancelled cruises I'm not sure if it will be less than normal though... I'd still certainly keep watch if I could though!

I just looked out of curiosity and I AM seeing a 7A cabin right now..? There are two on deck 5 also. These specific rooms may only fit 3 though.. I'm not sure how many are in your party.

OK verified... they only show up for a party of 2 or 3. Those open ones must not be ones that fit 4 guests. I am seeing 6B cabins to the aft however as well...? 6A on deck 8, and probably others are also available.

Or Day 4 when some of these are returned to the inventory. We got only one of the two rooms we wanted on the 11-nighter to Iceland, but that's a giant leap over the GTYx2 we have on each of the WBPC and Hawaii next year.

Isn't that the truth. This cruise is actually a rip off. A 7 night verandah is about 10k, the 9 night is about 14K. The difference for 2 nights is quite ridiculous. Really the only reason we are doing it is because it's basically paid in full at this point due to previous cancellations.

I believe I did see 7a's available early this morning, but they were in the aft and I just won't stay in the aft again. The vibrations were horrendous.

Can anyone tell me the phone tree options? I called, eventually picked 1 for English, and then accidentally hit 3. So I'm on hold for something, but I don't know what!
UPDATE: Never mind--got through. So whatever 3 was, it worked.

For me, it was option 1, then 2, then 3. Was on hold for 20 minutes, been on the phone with the agent now for 10 minutes. They are having to send info to the "back office" to apply our OBB discount, credit and the FCC.

Now waiting for the agent to come back on the line, because when I key in the reservation number, she selected the wrong room and deck.

It took me a bit over 2 hours just to get through. Playing the hold game now. I did discover the recent calls area on my iPhone only goes up to 200 calls. So my call history is 1 entry - 200 calls to DCL.

Took about 20 minutes on hold, then spent about 50 minutes on the phone and on hold with the agent to get the cruise booked. Agent put me on hold for almost 30 minutes trying to get the OBB and credit applied and for the agent to fix booking us the wrong room the first time.

3 hours on hold. Hopefully I'm half-way there. Waiting to change my "not yet cancelled" Sept '21 Norway cruise to the 2022 itinerary. Good thing I don't have any work meetings scheduled today.
