Today is the day, we finally close on our resale purchase at the VWL How long does it normally take for the deed to get filed and Disney to have us in the computer??? Then how long till I receive info from Disney and what can I expect to receive from them??Thanks

When our resale closed last May, it was about four days to get into the system. Some people seem to get in to the system in about two business days, some take about a week. Call next week (Tuesday) and tell them you are a new member via resale and you want to see if you are in their system yet. They will look you up.

About a month after that we received our membership cards.

About a month after that we received our member guidebooks.

About three months after that we got our first Vacation Magic (the Fall issue, we missed the Summer issue).

Fairly recently (within the past two months), we started getting the promotional mailings. Took a while to get on that list.

You should be in the computer within a week. I'd call midweek and ask if they can find you in the DVC computer. Once you're there, you can begin making reservations!

It will take awhile longer, but you'll receive the Member Guidebook and membership card from DVC directly. You should also be receiving your annual dues statement soon!

Our resale timeline:
Nov. 20th - wired money for close
Dec. 2nd - notified that we had closed that day
Yesterday (Dec. 6th) - MS finally had us in the system

The only mistake I made was that I had the impression that we would close within 2-3 business days of wiring the money. Maybe it just took longer because of the Thanksgiving holiday?
