Up Next: Day 2 Part 2: The Disboutique Meet!
The monorail to Epcot was pretty uneventful. Gavin, Seth, Jayden and Luke got to ride up front! My kids had never done this before so they were pretty excited. We got through “security” and then through the gate were we stopped and couldn’t see T and her kids. Finally Mike spotted her on the other side of the gate. They had been DENIED entry!
Okay, really their passes had been demagnetized or whatever it is that magnets do to passes, so they had to get that taken care of. We had no idea how long that would take (turns out, not long at all) so we told them we’d meet them at Club Cool. Yes, we were running late, but everyone was whining about being thirsty and Gavin had a big mug to fill
so we had to take a Club Cool break. My dear sweet Jayden gave T’s Lily Beverly. Oddly, from that moment on, they were inseperable. Then of course there was the mandatory potty break. I took this opportunity to change into my Disboutiquer Meet tee shirt. Jayden changed her outfit as well. Her BFF was planning to be in Epcot today also and the girls had matching outfits they wanted to wear together. Our friends’ trip was not very long, so it was the only chance for the girls to wear them in the same place at the same time, assuming we would eventually run into them. The funny thing is a Disboutiquer, Cindee, saw Jayden’s outfit at Epcot, but it wasn’t on Jayden! She had seen Jayden’s BFF running around earlier in the day.
So finally we made it to China! And there were our peeps! Everyone was hanging out in the shade. All the kids had puppets that needed untangling every 3 minutes or so. I have to say, I somehow managed to escape without buying a puppet!
I think I was too busy chatting and trying to watch 4 kids run around to take pictures! So I stole a few from my friends. (thanks Jessica and Kristine)
I'm just now figuring out why Luke was begging me for sunglasses this day.
We stopped and chatted for a little bit, then decided to head out en masse to ride Maelstrom. At some point along the way, Luke noticed Dallas and Tessa walking along hand-in-hand. He was not about to let his friend steal his girl! I was actually quite shocked that he was so concerned. It was pretty funny.
Once he made it clear that Tessa was HIS girlfriend, they were all able to get along.
We finally made it to Maelstrom. We took up a lot of boats! Somehow some poor couple got trapped in the middle of our group. We finally let them out. I sat in the front of the boat with Jessica and we tried to take “over our shoulder” pictures of everyone behind us.
Don’t Heather and Stacy look cute in this picture? And doesn’t Lin look like he’s having the time of his life?
(I'm only joking about Lin, not Heather and Stacy!) Sawyer looks kinda bored.
Of course as we exited the ride (some of us) stopped for the obligatory Troll photos. The kids could’ve played with the hats all day!
