Ok, I just have to get my excitement out somewhere! I'm SSSSOOOOOO excited! I can't wait! I've never been to WDW, neither has my DBF, DS11, and DD10. It's a Christmas surprise present for the kids. I've almost spilled the beans a couple times now. I'm glad I have a place to get the excitement out!
I do plan on giving the surprise gift to the kids 2 weeks early. They've never been on a plane and I will need to teach them airplane etiquette. Plus it's just too hard to have to pack everyone by myself I'm going to wrap a new pair of gym shoes with a letter to them pasted to the bottom of the box. They do know that they are only getting 1 present from me for Christmas. They will be so mad when they see the 1 present is a box of shoes But, wait until they see what is in the bottom of the box! Sorry this is long.........

Oh, what a cute idea with the shoes! I'm planning my family's first ever trip for this year too (Nov. 28 - Dec. 07) so I can totally understand your excitement!!! Because I'm the planner and I'm on the DIS everyday I learn all kinds of new info that I had no idea about before....I think even my kids (dd 5 & ds 11) are getting tired of me talking about it! But they'll be excited as we get a little closer, we're just over 2 months (64 days to be exact ) before we leave home!!!

Yes, we are staying at AS Sports. My DS LOVES football. He is going to be playing in the NFL right out of college, just ask him I too am on the DIS everyday learning new things. I just hope that I can remember all of them once I get there I figured giving them a couple weeks notice will give them some time to ask their friends what to expect. Then we will be driving each other crazy talking about it all the time!

UPDATE!!!
United just buzzed a message to my cell phone that they changed my flight. I thought, oh well, I'll check it later. But, that little voice inside my head said check it now! Well, I was scheduled out of MSN - ORD - MCO landing about 11:30 on 12/20 with an afternoon at Epcot. Then they changed me to MSN - ORD - Washington DC - MCO landing at 3 something. YIKES!!! I already have my Disney tickets purchased and not the non-expiring ones SO, I almost have a heart attack and call United. The guy I talked to tried hard to get me to MCO by noon, but it wasn't happening...... SO, I decided right there to take an extra vacation day and asked him how about 12/19? YES, we can do that So, my vacation gets to start an extra day early!!!

I strongly suggest to sign up for automated changes with your airline!

Another update! I just found code NYB and called to re-book my room at a lower rate! I saved $40 per night!!!!!!
