Hi everyone!
I can't believe I'm going for the second time in 6 months next month! I have such mixed feelings about this trip. I can't wait for it, obviously, but I don't want to the end to come. My DBF is going to Afganistan in April- he leaves for training in April. We were going to go on a cruise over my April vacation (thank you to everyone that suggested going to cruise critic, I apologize for not responding) since he was supposed to be home until sometime in June.
Friday he found out at drill that as of now he leaves April 5. They may wait until the next week though because it is Holy Thursday, so they might get to have Easter at home. In June he leaves for overseas.
It was HIS suggestion that we change it to Disney in Feb since we have days left on our tickets from August!! I booked everything yesterday. I'm taking the day before vacation off because airfare was a nightmare so we're driving down on Thurs the 15, arriving the 16. 4 nights at Boardwalk Inn, then 4 at AKL! I booked Hollywood and Vine for Fantasmic on Sunday, Keys to the Kingdom for that Monday and then Crystal Palace and the Pirate and Princess Party for the last day!!!! I'm thrilled- we have some great things booked!
At least I have something to lok forward too, the only downside of the vacation is that once it's over it's that much closer to him leaving. I've been jokingly referring to this trip at my "consolation prize" He gets Afganistan, I get Disney, lol.
Sorry for being long winded here... I know many of you here have been in my shoes. I can't even imagine what it will be like without him. Thanks for letting me ramble...
