And that I didn't BELIEVE the Disney Travel person I talked to right after the code came out, who told me that there would NOT be any point in calling back again about CCE codes if there weren't any available the first time I called. She told me that if there's a cancellation, it doesn't go back into the "code" pot, so there wouldn't be availability in the future.

This is the third time I called to try to put a code on my Beach Club room for Nov. 14-17 and it was the charm! I saved $270.36. Added to the amount I'd already gotten taken off of my POR ressie for Nov.10-14, I've now saved $366 off an already low AAA rate!!!

Moral of the story: Be persistent (and don't believe everything they tell you!)

I don't know if they're training some new people right now or what the deal is...but I called to ask about military discounts and the CM told me there was only one resort that was participating and he would put me on hold to get the number. I thought it was weird but decided to wait. He came back on the line and gave me the number for SOG! I told him no, WDW is offering military rates onsite during certain time frames. He argued with me for a minute and finally put me on hold again to check with a supervisor. He did finally acknowledge there was indeed a code for the rates. Now, it actually didn't help me because our dates were not included -- but it was very frustrating to have to tell this guy how to do his job. In all the times I have called CRO, this is the first time I've been really disappointed in the person helping me.
