We are riding out the hurricane in Brevard county. I know how you feel, my head has been hurting so bad from the stress all day long. I hope everyone fares well

OMG! MILs Barefoot Bay house took damage from Frances - front porch gone, shed gone, carport gone. Her neighborhood friends lost their house completely.
DH & MIL will be down there late Thurs to check on the damage.
They have a backup place to stay in case the house is no longer standing. MIL has a close cluster of friends willing to share their houses with one another.

So far we still have power but we have had one good flicker and a few little flickers. With the one flicker it was enough to turn the tv's and computer off. Heard the neighbors across the street are already out so I fear it won't be too long and we will be out. I hope not. Well I better sign off before it goes out. Take care.

Can you believe it.....I still have power and cable! With Francis, I lost power 12 hrs. ago!

We still have power, but the lights have flickered a few times. I can hear the wind outside, it's supposed to get worse around midnight. I hope we don't lose power because if we do it's going to take a long time for it to be restored, longer than last time. FPL's crews are strained as it is trying to restore power in FL's panhandle.

I'm so tired right now, yet I can't sleep. I'll probably stay up all night. I'm so sick of this...

Here in North Florida it started to rain about 5:30pm the wind is already gusting up to 60mph...and Jeanne is no where near us yet...I hate this.

Just had a weather update this is just a band coming in and it should calm down.
