Im new toO! so I am having a huge wedding, I come from somewhat of a rich fam, and I also make my own money too so we plan on having 50 people at the wedding, the bridesmaids and groomsmen will be paid for an a couple other people. Do you think that is fair?

CONGRATS & WELCOME to DIS... I think that is great that you are able to pay for them. Now if you paid for 1 brides maid and not the rest or something of that nature then it would not be fair, but as long as you are paying for all, I think it is wonderful that you can afford to do that.

Hi I wanted to Thank everyone for welcoming me to DIS FAMILY I would also like to let everyone know I am not the one getting married. Because I am already married for ten happy years so far But loveduck is getting married and I wished a Congrats and a welcome and now everyone thinks I'm getting married I hope this clears things up. I am taking a trip to Disney for a week staying at the Beach Club in a studio. Any tips on the room? Would like to get in concierge but all Deluxe hotels are booked for the week Just got back from a week at Shades of Green went for 4th of July. We are annual pass holders and only live three hours south of Disney. Lost count on the number of trips.

FWIW, I figured the "welcome" messages were mainly towards the original poster, since she has only one post (therefore she's very likely new). Welcome to you, too!


To the OP, 50 isn't big at all. However, if you're saying you'll have 50 in your wedding party, then THAT is big. (it's possible...my friend's family isn't wealthy, but are big in our community and invited a gazillion people, and she had something like 9 b'maids and groomsmen, something like 4 kids and maybe 6, a jr b'maid, it went on and on...if her family had been wealthy and they had even MORE social obligations, I could see how she could have ended up with even more in her wedding party and invite list)
