...after 23 years of marriage! I know that sounds weird, but we never really got "engaged" when we decided to get married and my husband couldn't afford an engagement ring, so tomorrow's my birthday and my DH took me to get an engagement ring after all these years! It was never a big thing with me, not having one. I've got a wonderful DH, a terrific life (am a new breast cancer survivor) and we have a wonderful 18yr old daughter who's a great kid and life is pretty good. But my DH always wanted to get that ring for me. 
It will be ready next week, so it's a combination birthday/Christmas present. I couldn't ask for anything more. It's the new diamond-like stone called Moissanite.

It's my mom's bday too!!!! Good people are born on the 13th. Mine, My mom and my dad bdays are all on the 13th!!!!!1
