No new news on California expansion, no ticket prices for 2009 yet, Unofficial Guide isn't out till August and we added our daughter to our trip so we need at least 3 beds and HOJO isn't coming out wih 2009 et rates any time soon. We did nail one room at the HOJO rate for March 2009 when they all were still in the system and I don't know what to do now- does anyone have any opinion if a full size airbed would fit in the standard rooms? Doesn't seeem fair I know but it is a free ride for her lol....

We had a Entertainment rate room back in building 2 for our trip. It was enormous. And when we got there, there was a fold-up cot outside it; we think it was there b/c it had been in there for the previous guests (we were on a sort of corner, no rooms nearby, so it really could have only been from "our" room). It would have made for close quarters and possible toe-stubs on the way to the bathroom in the night, but it would have fit in the room we had.

:goodvibes

Aren't you going to buy your tickets now, so you don't have to deal with a price increase later?

They aren't available for 2009 yet--right? I meant for park passes. From what I have heard, they won't be available until late summer.

From my understanding, at least if you purchase your tickets in the Disney Store, the tickets for this year expire at the very begining of January, so purchasing your tickets now would not be a good thing, becase you wont be able to use them after like the 3rd of January. I do not know if online is the same or not, but I would imagine so. Ticket prices usually go up $10 each year approx. They usually go up in January, but in 2007 they uped them in like September or October instead of waiting until January 2008. I dont know when they start selling the tickets for the next year, in the stores we dont put them out until the release date (late December-early Jan.) or unless a guest requests them we can sell them early (just not htis early cause we dont even have them yet).

HTH!!

I think I will again just wait and see what happens, I think daughter would be ok with and air bed or a sleeping bag with a mat, whether or not she is willing to go without the boyfriend at this point would be the question. (I think so lol)You know I looked at the room in pics and it seems big enough. We'll have to have something for the Sacramento hotel stop anyway. Man are we tight..lol. I wish we could afford AP's but we can't and with gas the way it is, can't see us going back soon. I watched one of those travel channel shows tonight and they asked a woman about how she did her organizing and she said-- from the back up...
This is good advice for me! Something to think about anyway. We wanted to go to see Two and a Half Men taped possibly and I started researching that--it may not be taping that far into March-- and maybe Universal studios for a day, mostly for the Simpsons ride. So it gives me something to do anyway..:-) You have to realize I started planning this last summer- but with the husband being laid off things were off for a few months. Now that the primary seems to be done for awhile- I don't have that to distract me, and with the daughters miscarriage....
I'm really hoping for the same sort of deal on ticket prices for the 5 day hoppers, some sort of winter deal thingy, that they usually offer. Maybe with all the constructin gong on in CA there'll be some kind of bargains to be had.
