I posted on DVC board when trying to make purchase decisions back in Sept and we are new owners at SSR and waiting to close our purchase. So myself along with the DH and DS7 and DS5 are taking our developer's vacation and leaving on the 23rd. I am so excited I get choked up reading some of these posts. We've had a tough year and really need a great experience. Staying at Boardwalk for 10 days and have booked Hoop DD Review and Chef Mickey for dinner last night. Have some last minute planning I am trying to wrap up and will post questions here.

Best way for DD to take both guys into park by himself while I attend convention a couple of days? Should I be nervous or overly concerned for safety?

Pal Mickey - should we buy?

Need rental car for 3 days for Gaylord Palms convention and to and from transportation - best rental deal?

Should I bring flotation devices for boys if not yet proficient swimmers or can I rent (would I want to)?

Other must sees - Cirque De Soleil, Disney Quest, Safari, etc......

Nextell Cell phones vs walkies vs pagers - best way to communicate in parks.

We have two 3 day park hoppers for myself and DH for 10 days would we be better to buy Annual Passes for each of us or additional park hoppers?

Answer all or any - feel free to give any additional advise - totally appreciate your input. I'm glad we have become part of the family.

Howdie neighbor!

Dont be worried about Dh in the parks by himself. He will be fine. Maybe out your boys in neon shirts or something so they are easily spooted if it will make you feel better.

We borrowed our neighbors pal Mickey on our last trip. We didnt really use him.

Do NOT rent from National. Bering Disney's partner, they are flooded with business and offer the worst customer service ever. We've had nice service from Avis and Budget.

Our 4 yr old wore his arm floats in the resort pool because he wanted to use the slide, but he didnt use them at any of the water parks.

With kids that age, I'd probably thmbs down Cirqu and DQ.

Cell phones. Definately.

If you will take your nest trip before the AP's expire, then I'd definaely buy them for this trip.

Thumbs way up for the HDDR!

We got a Mickey shaped pet tag and chain at the pet store in DTD and put our DD name and our cell phone # on it...that way if she was ever seperated we wouldn't have to count on her speaking clearly. It is really nice because it is not very heavy for them to wear. They are about $10. We also use the necklace around town for large events.

Definitely, cell phones are better. Everyone has the walkie talkie things. Hard to hear yours from everyone elses.

Pin trading...if you think they might like it - it would be worth your while to pick up a bunch on ebay.

All of the pool areas have kiddie pools for smaller kids. We didn't have any problem with our DD (5) who is not really a swimmer - more of a splasher.

Pal Mickey is ok. Not really a must. And we have one.

It will all be good. Don't worry. You can't go wrong...and welcome home.

Unfortunately already booked National because of other posts I read and they actually had a deal that saved me over $100.00. Have back up ressie. Thanks for all the tips. I think I will most definitely make sure both boys have id on them. Really excited about this trip. We are using Transportation2Disney for a ride to Boardwalk. Will bring floaties just in case. Pal Mickey???
