I'm finally going to trash my dress!!

I have my shoot booked for the middle of August in PEI, Canada. I really wanted to wear in into the ocean so I've put it off and put it off. But we're doing a road trip of the east coast this summer so I found a photographer I really like and I'm going for it!

That is awesome I paid to have mine cleaned and preserved and I just don't know. It's just gonna sit in a closet and never be touched again. I love the trash the dress concept. I just have to work up the nerve to do it!

My sister is getting married here in PA, and she just told me that she got a discount on her wedding pics if she agreed to do a trash the dress and let the photographers use the pics in his portfolio and website. ( I thought that was pretty funny)

LOL I've wanted to wear it into the ocean since I first tried it on! It's 100% silk, layered with silk tulle, so it won't be damaged at all. (I actually cleaned by soaking it in the tub with Oxy Clean!) Then my mum is going to take it apart for the fabric.

I'm the same as you, I don't actually want to ruin the dress, just get some great photos!

Well I am not 100%...but my dress was silk taffeta and had to be pressed rather than steamed the day before because I was told steaming would ruin it...so I assume it cannot get wet.

I didn't trash my dress or anything but I can tell you that I had a silk taffeta dress and it was dragged through the rain and big puddles on my wedding day it it tried quickly and perfectly. Nothing happened to it at all.
