so focused on that *&#$> number on the scale? I know better and yet I still want to see it go down. I only need it to go down 3 to get into the next "decade". I'm still on plan (Atkins) and still in ketosis. It must be a huge pyschological thing for me (that sounds better than nut job) - I really want to make my goal of losing 10 pounds before June 6 (sister's wedding) and 2.5 lbs. more will do it. I just seem to be stuck this past week - up 1 or 2, then back down 2, then nothing, then up again, etc. You all know what I mean, LOL!

Those of you who have been here before - how long did it take before the scale actually moved? And then did it move a lot?? Maybe I'll just wake up one morning and be there??

I know I am burning fat and that my exercise is building muscle, but I still need to be in the next "decade"! Maybe I am also burning up my precious brain cells - they're not made up of fat by any chance, are they?? :teeth: ;)

Would love to hear your experiences. TIA!

Hang in there! I've had it happen too! I'll think I'm not losing for days, and then I measure myself and find that I was losing inches. The next thing I know, the Whoosh Fairy visits and 4 pounds are gone! It will happen - just stick with what you're doing! You're in ketosis, so you're doing just fine! :)

I'm not on Atkins, but I've had this experience in the past when I have dieted. It seems like you will be stuck at a certain level and then all of a sudden you drop 3-4 lbs. I'm betting that's what will happen to you. Since yout on plan, sooner or later your body can't help but respond. The waiting is hard, I know. :( But you will get there!!!!:) :) :)

THis is something that is very hard for me as well. One thing that helps a little is to think about what things you have accomplished while staying on program. Sometimes if we can keep it in perspective- it's a little easier on us. Also- if you feel like your clothes are losing that helps even if you're not losing- so pay attention to that as well. Is your general out look on life more positive? That is another good thing. WHat esle have you noticed about yourself? maybe if we can change our mind set to things along these lines it will help us feel better when we slow down in the numbers going down! Keep your chin up! You're doing well and you should be proud of yourself- that 2.5 lbs will come off before you know it!

I used to be the same way, I weighed myself each day and was frustrated that I couldn't get the numbers to go down...I haven't lost a single pound in a week and a half...but I have lost inches and that is what counts on me right now!! :):)

Hang in there and hugs to you!!

(((((((((((Carol)))))))))))))

You are really doing a fantastic job!!! Don't let the scale mess with your head. I know that's easier said that done, but really, THE INCHES are what is important!!! Heck, it's not even June yet, you still have plenty of time to make that goal! :)

Hang in there!!!!!!!! You can do it! And if you DON'T make the goal, that is STILL ok because you have all the time in the world to get there! :)

Just keep thinking about how great you feel NOW and how happy you are that you have made it to this point!!! :) We're all here, cheering you on!!!!!
