"I'm Doing That Again... and AGAIN!" - A May/June 2013 TR

Adorable pic with Donald & Daisy!! We JUST missed them last trip, so I'm hoping to get a picture with them in October. Crazy about that "missing kid" situation in line. The teen probably heard his mom the whole time and was ignoring her. :rotfl:

I love your LM excitement! :goodvibes I loved the ride in California, so I'm REALLY excited to see the queue since there was nothing special about it at DCA. The Kiss the Girl scene is my absolute favorite!!

That's nice that you were able to meet up with some friends for the night. And really cool that your friends knew Alice from the parade! I am excited to see the new Castle projection show. We saw MMY from waaaaaaaay back last trip that it was playing, but luckily we were able to see it more up close when we went to DL. Hopefully we will be able to have a decent view of the new show this year!

Hey Marissa! I'm so glad that you LOVED the new Little Mermaid ride! Disney did a great job with that one! And the queue is fabulous. (So much better than California Adventure with virtually no queue) I can completely understand the tears. :)

That freaky rain was no bueno but the random Dismeet at the bus stop was a nice touch! Oh, AND meeting up with your friends and seeing the castle show and Wishes.

That's so very nice of your to extend traveler's mercy to your friend! I'm sure they were grateful.

Oh, and your photo with Daisy and Donald - adorable!! :cutie:

Your posts make me miss disney so much!!!!

The little mermaids ride is awesome!! I LOVE NFL!!!!!!!! :)

Your such a nice friend to do that! I can't believe someone would make other plans when people expect to be going to said persons house! "How rude!" LoL

Beast’s castle with a sunset behind it. Does it get any better?! We’ll see!

It really doesn't! That picture is perfect!

I'm so glad you finally got to ride LM! And I'm glad you broke your no picture rule!

What a fun afternoon and evening!

Thanks for the updates. So. much. fun.

I love Donald and Daisy! They're probably my favorite of the more classic characters. I really think they need to include poor Daisy and make it the Super Six instead of the Fab Five. I just adore her, she's so feisty and can put Donald in his place. And their tempers, so funny! :rotfl2:
Yaaaaaaaaay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You finally got to ride the Little Mermaid. I'm just so in love with that ride. When you first go under the sea and it gets all cool... flawless.
Can I just tell you that the other day it was raining here at home and my feet were having trouble staying in my flip flops, and all I could think of was grandma shuffling :rotfl2:

Yeah Muppets! Have you seen the trailer for the new movie yet? I'm super excited for it!

That's such a weird situation with the lost "child"... he probably has selective hearing, haha.

I love Donald's and Daisy's outfits! They're so snazzy!

Friendly Canadians are the best! (And yeah, they're all that friendly!)

I would have been shocked if you didn't cry on The Little Mermaid! I seriously can't wait to go on it... in 14 months, lol.

Boo for rude parade squishing people with their phones! It could have been worse... it could have been an iPad! :lmao:

Hahaha, oh I love silly CMs! I used to have one of the Peter Pan hats when I was little and I wore it pretty much ALL the time when I was playing with my siblings!

That's such a bummer for Amanda that her cousin wasn't going to be around the next day. It's a good thing you were there to save the day!

Ahhhh, I so glad you enjoyed The Little Mermaid ride! We absolutely LOVED. It and every single piece of it along her queue, the loading area and of course the whole dang ride!!!

Kadence loved seeing the little blue crabs and scuttle was so awesome!

You were stuck in a great spot! :thumbsup

Wishes, beautiful as always. I will never get tried of seeing it.

Overall, a wonderful MK night!

Your drawing is better than what I would do.
TSM sounded not too fun but glad you made the most of it.
Strange the people in front of you in line.
Those Florida storms come out of nowhere. I find them refreshing sometimes.
Glad you finally got to ride it.
Same building is nothing. When we went Vinny’s granddaughter was put in the room right next to us without asking for it or linking the reservations. It was bizarre.
Scary and weird about the update she saw of her cousin. I would be furious. LOL

Wow...I cannot imagine having ONE day in the MK and spending such a huge chunk waiting! Goodness gracious. On my last trip, I did wait maybe an hour for the parade, MM&Y, and Wishes...and it was WONDERFUL! I also wasn't just waiting, but eating and it went quickly. I can't imagine having waited any longer.

So glad you loved the LM ride! You ARE a daughter of Triton, I can just hear in my head where your name fits perfectly!

Goodness...I can't wait for Celebrate the Magic! I haven't been there in so long, that I haven't been there since the original MMY! BOOOOOO!! I am thrilled that Wreck It Ralph and Tangled are in it. FAVORITES!!!!

Yay! Thanks for the shout out! It was great meeting you too. I would have suggested a picture together, but that pesky rain....Glad you met up with your friends, how fun! Sad that they had to find out via Facebook that they did not have a place to stay.

How fun that your friends were there too! Yay for getting to see your friend in the parade! That's so cool!

The plastic bag that I had my phone in was definitely coming in handy! I don’t know if I mentioned it earlier, but this was the first Disney trip where I had an iPhone and I wanted to protect it somehow. So I decided I’d just put it into a Ziploc sandwich bag. It was PERFECT. It kept it perfectly safe and I could still use it through the bag when it was raining. Throughout the week I had a lot of people telling me how good of an idea they thought it was. SO YEAH, there’s nice little tip for all my fellow iPhone users out there.

I have had an iPhone for almost 2 years now and I have just learned of a new case called Lifeproof. It's waterproof and shockproof and freeze proof. I got it when I got the new iPhone 5 and am so glad I did. Because when I went to the lake a few weeks ago I managed to gracefully drop it in the lake. Good think the water was shallow and I could see where it dropped but my phone was A OK. :)

All caught up. Feel like I've gotten behind on most of the TR's I've been following but have been doing a lot of school work for me, teaching Olivia with homeschool, traveling a lot and breaking a foot. Oh I've also started a trip report too which the link is located in my siggy. :) Can't wait to read more!

Oh my goodness. I live in Texas, and literally say "y'all" a hundred times a day - and I have never heard "gentleyalls". I love that so much! Joining in for the granny-shuffling fun.

Isn't the Little Mermaid ride amazing? I know there's a group of people who complained about having yet another dark ride with animatronics in the park, but I think the attraction was a perfect addition to the park. It felt like there was enough substance to make it worth your while (unlike the Seas with Nemo and Friends, which is over before you even get comfortable in your Clam-mobile!) and the way the story is told on the ride is genius. I couldn't decide which was my favorite part. Probably the Ursula scene, just because she's so in your face and it's almost overwhelming.

I'm glad you were able to finally meet up with your friends! I read somewhere that Disney switched from Verizon to AT&T and is adding more cell towers in the area, so if that's your carrier you should have less phone issues on future trips. I know Alex was pretty excited about it, because his phone always acted up inside the parks.

A DISmeet! They're so much fun! Glad you were able to experience one.

It's good to hear Celebrate the Magic was just as good as MMY. I remember we both mourned the show's retirement, so if you say it's great, I believe you. :rotfl:

We unexpectedly decided to try mama melrose this trip.

(BTG were at some quick services making the line insane, while the other quick services were full of the other guests).

We walked by Mama, hosts were outside with menus, we walked in, and were seated 5 minutes later. We were lucky. And it was lunch.

All in all we prefer Tony's but it's still a place we might go back to.

Can I just say that I love that the first picture I see in my post-vacation TR catchup is my beloved Gertie?!

I love Donald and Daisy's old Hollywood outfits!

LMAO I am laughing so hard at the FP mishap. She should have given you one anyway for getting your hopes up!

Loving your reactions to riding Under the Sea for the first time!!

How cool to see a proposal on Main Street! That's so awesome that the timing worked out for the universe to have you there just at that moment.

Wreck It Ralph is one of my favorite segments of Celebrate the Magic - so well done. Same with the Tangled lanterns (that part always makes me cry).
