"I'm Doing That Again... and AGAIN!" - A May/June 2013 TR

I never knew you could get either the gangster or cowboy scene depending on where you get in line . Thanks for the tip :thumbsup2

Love your pics of POP!
Also whenever you talk about Grandma shufflin around it makes me laugh. I definitely did that a time or two back in April as the last two days of my trip were quite rainy!

Yep, DHS is definitely my least favorite park. It's not the rides - we love TSM, ToT (which is probably my fav ride is all of DW), Star Tours, RnR - it's the whole atmosphere of the park. I just get an odd vibe there, not magical like the other three - can't really explain it...

Ugh for the really long bus wait! This will be our first vacation in a long while without our car, and I'm really not looking forward to waiting for buses. At least we'll be at the Poly, so will only have to wait for AK and DHS buses, but still :worried:

Another fan of MU! I went into the movie with really low expectations - like how could anything be as good as Monsters Inc :confused3. And I have to say....it wasn't. But I did think it was really good - much better than expected and very true to the spirit of Inc.

We saw the One Man's Dream movie for the first time last August, and I cried too! What a special tribute (and a great way for a cool, relaxing break on a hot August afternoon ;) )

I haven't even heard of Frozen yet - where have I been ????

I'm joining the party a little late, but I'm all caught up now :)!! I absolutely love your humor and writing style... Very very entertaining!

I have to admit, I am 100% completely jealous that you are so independent and adventurous at your age. My ship has sailed on a solo trip for now (two littles at home), I wish I had done a solo while I still had energy!!

Really looking forward to the rest of your fantastic report!!

Fist Disney morning... exciting... YUP! :cloud9:

Don't worry about the crooked picture. All my pictures are crooked. Of course I blame the camera

It's so funny, but all the recent TR's I've read have a photo of that MU ad. It was just one of those photos that had to be taken.

I never did see the Narnia attraction. Thanks to the DIS, it just didn't seem necessary. I do want to try the Pirates one at some point though, but it doesn't look like something that one would want to wait in too long of a line for. Thanks for the review!!

You're so cute avoiding the FLE models. :flower3:

I so love One Man's Dream, I can't even. Mandatory viewing in my opinion!

OK, you are indeed the first person EVER to get the cowboy scene MORE than the gangster. Oy!!

I hate when the buses come for all the other parks except for the one you want to go to.
That Pirate thingy in DHS you can have. LOL. I found it the biggest waste of time. Rides and attractions for all which is good. Something for everyone.
I have to do the movie in One’s man Dream. Definitely on my “must do” list for next trip.
Maybe I will try the Ziploc bag when I go down.
I would love to pin trade but I just don’t get it. Do you trade for what you want?
All caught up. Hope you see some video game characters.

Hey Marissa! Argh! Sorry that the DHS buses that were an issue. Of course they had to be slow when you were up early for EMH!!! ;)

I'm not sure if we will take the time to see the Legend of Captain Jack Sparrow or as I would rather refer to it as the replacement for the Narnia attraction. I never really got that either.... seems like they could make better use of that space. :confused3

Even though I favor the cowboy action in TGMR, you gotta love a good ganster scene!

Looking forward to your next update! :thumbsup2

The morning of my first full Disney day was exciting for me, for obvious reasons. I mean, it was my first full Disney day! If that’s not exciting, what is?!

Such a great feeling to have the whole trip ahead of you! :cool1:

I know there’s a major glare, but I had to take this picture nonetheless. And by the way, that movie was awesome! I loved it! “MU RULES!!!”

Brooklynn and I saw Monsters University this week. I thought it was very cute, and she loved it.

My favorite part of DHS!

Hopefully to be expanded with some really awesome stuff in the near future. There are so many things they can do with Pixar movies - Pixar Place could be its own park.

In keeping with the ‘roads less taken’ theme, I went straight over to One Man’s Dream! I hadn’t been in there in a long time so it was nice to be back! I took the time to really read and study the displays. Walt’s history is honestly very fascinating to me, so I like to learn as much as I can!

An under-appreciated attraction, in my opinion.

What would life be like without Disney Parks? (I don’t even want to know.)

Nor do I....
although I bet my bank account would be healthier. :rolleyes1

I have to admit that the munchkin animatronics freak me out a little bit. I mean, the munchkins are creepy enough in the movie, but in animatronic form? Yikes. Anyways, I think I’m always the only one in there who sings along to ‘Ding Dong the Witch is Dead.’

I can't stand that alien scene - not for the alien, but the woman creeps me out. Her face is scary!

Side note: I have been wanting to start pin trading FOREVER, but so far I’ve only bought pins that I actually want and am not willing to part with. I have a few from surprise boxes that I would be willing to trade away, but not enough to start anything real. SO I’m saying this right now, between now and whenever my next trip is, I am going to buy a lot of pins on eBay so I can start my pin-trading career. MARK MY WORDS!!!

I am the same way with pins, keeping what I buy, but the girls really enjoy making trades. I'm sure it makes them feel very 'grown' to have the power to make the decision about which pins to give and take. It's fun to watch them study the pin boards.

You HAVE to see Wicked! It's my favourite show EVER. :lovestruc SO good. Go, go now!

That's some rain, wow! Glad it doesn't bother you, aside from the granny hustle.

That's funny, tweeting instead of texting. Speaking of grannies, I think I am one, so behind the times! No twitter, no instagram, no snapchat, no vine. Just facebook! :hippie:

I have never been through One Man's Dream. I keep meaning to, but always run out of time. :( I will have to go through there on my next trip!

Glad to hear the new Pirates attraction is a step above the Narnia one. I'm pretty open to Disney rides, but that one was just boring.

Alex rides motorcycles, and since we live in FL where it rains everyday, he learned the phone in a plastic baggie trick a long time ago. It's amazing how well it works, though. I'd much rather spend a few bucks on a 100 baggies than replace an iphone.:rotfl:

Ahhh, pin trading. I love pins, but I'd consider myself more of a collector. There's just too many ones I don't wanna part with! What I usually do, and this is just me, is I usually buy whatever pins r boxes I want, then I usually purchase one of the Hidden Mickey Mystery packs. Almost always there's one in there I want to trade. If you ever want to keep track of the ones you have on-line, there's a website called pinpics.com that has every pin released (or so it seems) and you can find and list all yours. The only bad thing is searching for the pins on that site can be tricky. You have to get creative with the keywords.:rotfl2:
And, I'm sure you've heard this a million times, but when buying on ebay, watch out for scrappers. There's a thread under the pins section that has a list of some legit sellers.

Hi Marissa! I subbed here, but I fell behind with all my threads earlier this year. I had some hard months, but I'm ready to get my happy place back in sight, and I'm getting caught up now.

A solo trip?! I would love to do that, but you know Kadence, she'd have a jealous fit!:crazy2:

I can't wait to catch up and go along with you!:goodvibes

Ok, ok, ok! I've completely caught up!! :cool1: I am loving your trip so far!! I love your pictures too! Goodness, it seems like I had so much reading to do! :lmao: I love your writing style! It makes me really feel like I'm there with you! So fun!! I can't wait to hear about the rest of your day and your meet up!!

Yay first full disney day!!!!!

Sorry the busses were few and far between!!
Glad you made it in decent time to get a fp for tsm!!!!

Wicked is one of the shows in our next set of Broadway series shows!!!
So very excited!! I've read the books, but yet to see the show. I've heard the shows different from the book. Excited nonetheless!!!

I'm here, I'm here!! I loved your last report and so far, this one is just as good. I had to take another unexpected break from the boards (thank you computer for crashing) but hopefully I'll be able to stick around now. Looking forward to reading the rest of your report :goodvibes

Heeeeeeeeeey Marissa! So sorry that I'm joining in on your trip report so late, but I'm here! YAYYY!

That totally stinks you couldn't ride Little Mermaid on your first day, but like you said - there were plenty of days ahead of ya!

I seriously had no idea you could use an iPhone through a ziplock bag. You learn something new everyday! :thumbsup2
