ok back to the topic of hand,, i dont care for cream of asperagus soups. but i loved creamed asperagus with a cheese sauce,

steam fresh asperagus,till very tender,
crush over low heat with a couple tbl spoons butter, till creamy
top with melted american sauce with grated cheddar over that.

well, if I liked asparagus, I am sure I would enjoy CoAS as much as I enjoy Cream of Broccoli Soup!

but I don't like asparagus

We're a great pair...I love asparagus and I'm sure that I would love COAS. , but I do not like broccoli at all. (used to, but that's another thread)
