We have breakfast reservations at O'hana. I see some articles saying there's a 5-10 minute walk from Poly to TTC where we can get a ferry to MK. But then another article refers to the boat launch at Poly to catch a Water Taxi to MK. Which one is correct?

Both.
If water taxi isn’t crowded I’d do that, or maybe if you’re staying on the TTC side I might just walk to TTC.

Agree with @Minnie1222 about the monorail being the most convenient from a walking standpoint. It can be busy in the morning but it's on the same floor as Ohana. You'll also go through security at the resort instead of at the MK which may save some time.

Picture below shows where you'll be at Ohana (blue circle) and the 2 boat launches (circled in purple). The launch on the left is the water taxi while the one on the right is the TTC Ferry. The TTC is a great option if you're staying in one of the longhouses close to it (DVC) but it's not that close to the Great Ceremonial House IMO.

It also depends on where your building is located.
Many ways to choice.
"ALL ROADS LEAD TO ROME' or in your case MK

Yep - so if not staying at Poly, and wanting to get from MK to Poly for breakfast, then back to MK, you've got 3 options. 1. If you're parking at TTC to go to MK that day but starting off with breakfast at Ohana, just walk over to Poly from TTC. If you are bussing to MK from another resort for the day and want to get over to Poly for breakfast first, the MK bus stops are on the MK side, so either hop the resort monorail, or take the Poly resort boat transportation, from MK to Poly. If you then want to head to MK after breakfast, take the monorail or Poly boat back to MK direct. You don't need to deal with the ferry and TTC unless you're parking your car in the lot for MK that morning - any transportation between MK and Poly's main building will be easiest with the resort boat or monorail.

When the Polynesian tower construction is completed, you could also walk directly to MK (via the path from Grand Floridian). Although not typically faster than other methods, this could be the best way to get to MK earliest for rope drop / early theme park entry.
