FIrst I heard that you can only buy the 1 day/2 park ticket at the gate, and it's like $85 with tax (adult)... now I see on some of the other threads that it's $69 + tax? I'm confused... I would just like to know because we're going to WDW in March and want to spend a day at Universal/IOA, and I want to budget properly.

Also, do you think it's possible to do both parks in one day? I know they're not open too late in March...what about transportation from our WDW resort? We'll be a group of 5, maybe it would be cheaper to rent a car for the day?

Any thoughts?

the 1 day 2 park is only available at the gates. I've never seen it for 69 bucks, that's a great deal if it exists. if you get the the parks prior to them opening, you can hit the big stuff at both parks in a day. mears runs shuttles, and a taxi ride isn't cheap from WDW to UO. if you can get a good 1 day rate on a car, go for that option.

What thread are you seeing a pirce of $69?

1 Day/1 Park Pass Adults: $63.63 Kids (ages 3-9): $51.12

1 Day/2 Park Pass Adults: $84.08 Kids: $72.37

These prices include tax. The one day tickets can not be ordered over the internet but can only be purchased at the gate. I'd rent a car or use a towncar service or Mears. Both parks can be done in one day if you have a plan and only hit the highlights.

If you don't hit every ride & every show, yes you could do 2 in one day.

Shuttles are offered from WDW to US via companies like Mears and Lynx, not sure for how much tho. You'd have to go to their website to find out how much. I think it's a little too far to pay a taxi. WDW does offer car rentals on property...for about $20 or $30 for 1 day. You could make the most of your rental by hitting International Drive or the outlets while you have the car. (They may even deliver it and pick it up for you at your hotel.)

Maybe you saw a post where someone used their AP for a discount on the tickets. I bought 1 adult and 1 childs ticket in Dec when we were there and the total was about $124 with my AP discount.
