Woohoo!

Why are we dancing? What's a card? :confused3

You lucky lady!!!! You'll just be breezin' right on by the rest of us 'uncool' folk!!!! :thumbsup2

Fly Clear will allow you to bypass the normal security line. For a fee you can basically register, get a thorough background by the government and a bio scan. There is a separate area at the security area @ MCO for you to have your scan done and still the same metal detector (I think). I'm waiting for them to open these in other locations before I take the plunge. It's only at MCO right now. It'll be worth the while for those that travel frequently. I know it'd be a great asset to me once it is expanded. ::yes::

I believe that San Jose and Indianapolis were also testing 'clear'. I too am awaiting more locations to join in and then will happily hand over $$$$ - until IAD and MCO fix their security issues I woudln't hesitate to join Clear once the program is expanded ot more airports.

I'm jealous - I don't fly as much as some of you, but still like the idea of being "clear"ed in advance. But chances are excellent that Logan's going to pass on the program  because it's too expensive :rolleyes

This summer the govt is supposed to start the trusted traveler program. Clear would be part of this. More airports should then be participating.

It is wonderful to walk past everyone standing there. I miss that at other airports.

YEA!!!! Those security lines at MCO are getting totally out of hand! What a relief it wiill be to bypass them. I am going to sign up just as soon as DTW and BNA come on board!

Yep, Im with you for DTW. I think they did a nice job designing the McNamera terminal as far as efficent security, but LC Smith has much much much to be desired (Ive waited upwards of 70 mins on Fridays for TSA).

LC Smith sucks all the fun out of flying. I don't know WHY (yes I do...NWA built the new terminal for itself) they didn't make McNamara bigger and include the other airlines from Smith. While I love flying SPIRIT and SWA, having to go through the worst terminal in the free world makes me sometimes rethink flying them. I find the SPIRIT side lines longer than the ones on the SWA side. Both are nasty areas to beging with. Baggage claim is horrendous as well in Smith.

I have a feeling DTW won't impliment FLY CLEAR until the new "Smith" is built up and operating.

Until then, I leave early and when I get there, try not to touch anything :lmao:

Congratulations, Anne. Our eldest who lives down there has had Clear for some months now and loves it!

The security lines are truly horrible at MCO. :sad2:

Hmm. Never had any waits at the Smith Terminal for Spirit. But I am leaving soon on a Friday. The TSA Website says my wait should be under 10 minutes....total fiction?

Just booked a flight in August through Spirit. I had thoughts (like you) of booking through Northwest instead (until I found out they were double!) just because of the LC Smith. I have traveled through more airports then I wish to count, and LC Smith, by a long shot, is the worst in America. Truthfully, the airport in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico (Mexico is still a third world country) is nicer then LC...What a way to welcome people to Detroit

Spirit has its own concourse within the LC Smith, so lines move faster. If you are flying any other airline, they all share the same 2 concourses, so lines get outragiously long.
