Congrats on the weight loss, and you too Tina. I gained all mine back and I'm just so mad at myself for doing so. If I had just stuck with it I'd probably be at goal. I have got ot buckle back down!!
What did the two of you do for your weight loss?
Well my weight loss has been for the last year and half. Not big numbers in the last months just a couple lbs here and there.
The first thing for me is I started moving again. I'm not big into alot of sweating and pounding the pavement running(can't know with a tendon blown out either) so I had to find ways for me. I took up pilates with stretch bands and I love it.
I am my own resistance using the bands. It stretches but still makes you work for it. Sometime in the day, I try for 3x a day when my ankle was good, I would jump rope for 2-3 minutes at a time. Good cardio workout for a short amount of time.
I changed the way I eat. I made small portions of meat and more fruits and veggies. I love fast food so I had to make some adjustments. If I want a cheeseburger then no fries or if I want small half pkg of fries then nothing sweet to drink. I make a big effort to eat my calories not drink them.
The hardest change for me was breakfast. I eat very little carbs in the morning and a heavy dose of protein or fiber. This keeps me from starving by 11am and reaching for candy and crap for snacks.
I buy alot of healthier snack foods and portion size them into baggies for good grab and go. I buy a big bag of granola and baggie size it so I grab one of those, a yogurt and a baggie of cut up fruit and I have a snack.
So for me it's about making my life easier and reaching for the better things and still moving my butt some everyday.
