I'm bored

I'm bored, too. DD16 is at the beach this week with her dad and stepmom, and DD21 moved to SC this weekend and began her first "real" job yesterday. Home alone!! Love it but also a little bored....

Phorsenuf, do you needlepoint? I love it and am working on a bunch of stuff right now. What are you stitching? Apologies to the non-needlepointers...

Yeah, you have a point there Bomb.

I'm wondering if my husband is coming home tonight. He had to work in Orlando last night and got a room at 8 this morning to sleep but haven't heard from him since. Guess I'll eat dinner without him.

So I want to enter the scary world of wine. I know nothing about it and have tried various ones but never found one I liked. I have 2 bottles of white in the fridge but haven't opened them yet.
What would you suggest to try?

I'm bored too. My dh is in Siberia, Russia and suppose to come home thurs. I hope that happens.

I am taking it easy as I am having some post op complications from my surgery last year, well its the stomach surgery and at least not the cancer stuff. Oh and I think my surgeon is going on vacation and cancelled my appt.tues. Oh what fun.

Tina - Was thinking about you. I know one day you and Matt will be bleseed with a forever family, however that happens. Hang in there!

I hope you are on the mend. I read your story and say alot of prayers for you and your family.

You show alot of strength and grace through your postings and more courage than most of us can ever imagine.

I actually just started. Doing counted cross stitch. My husband picked me up Puppy Love last time we were at Downtown Disney.
This is what it should like like. Who knows how it will turn out, LOL

I understand. My kids have been with my parents for the last 3 weeks+ and will be there for almost 2 more. I miss them so much, but I don't want time to speed up since when I go get them, it will mark the end of summer. And I didn't even get a summer.

What would you suggest to try?

Wine is easy. Buy a ton and taste it all. Then keep buying what you like.
Try Riesling if you like sweet. I like Bordeaux for a red.

Hey, I'm working on this one too! I've actually been working on it for two years. I didn't realize how long it was going to take me. Two years later, I only have the ears done!

I'm joining the ranks of bored. I think my problem is that I have burn-out (work, home, sleep, work, home, sleep...you know the drill!) with no vacation to plan. I need a project!

I bet you do miss camping...It gets in the blood, doesn't it? We only get to go a couple times a year, but it's enough to feel like I've gotten away. We camp so I can take my mini doxies with us!

Hopefully your cross stitch will go faster than mine. Although, I think it would go faster if I took it out of the closet!

That's cute! I do a lot of needlepoint - currently working on a pocketbook and some Christmas ornaments. I used to do counted cross stitch in college.

Still bored but I might have to go out and get some dinner...

OK, back from the store. Went to try some wine, got out the bottle, opened up the cover and realized I didn't have a corkscrew.
So now I'm trying some Riesling. Can't say I'm thrilled with it.
