We just booked last night...we are flying out of Halifax,NS Jan 23-30 via Canjet! Taxes in was $544.77/person. Thats a great price for a direct flight from here.

We are so syched! Anyone ever travel in Jan? Just wondering about the crowds and weather.

Have fun:Pinkbounc :bounce:

Crowds will be low, but weather will be very unpredictable. We went once the first week in Jan. and we were chipping the ice off rides and the next year was shorts weather. Pack for anything.

Yep ... prepare for anything. I'm not taking as many shorts as I normally would, and definitely taking more long pants for our Jan trip (Jan 6th to 14th) ... but we'll still be swimming, no matter how cold it is :p

That last week of Jan you will pretty much be able to walk onto a lot of the attractions. Park hours will be shorter but you'll have no trouble getting everything done in a day, and lots of time in the evenings to explore other resorts, etc.

How exciting for you ! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Thank goodness my little guy owns tons of "zip-off" pants...Would you say an average temperature would allow us to wear pants and a light sweater? Or shorts and a sweater?

We are travelling with another family and they wanted to go at this time of the year...I was hoping for the first week of Feb. Oh well. We wont have to wait in lines so that is awesome. We are travelling with 3 kids ages 2, 4, 8.!

Pants and a sweatshirt and you'll probably be good to go. Because we drive down, we have all of our winter "outerwear" with us as well. Sometimes those little mittens come in handy at night! ;)

Those little stretchy mitts are wonderful. We were there in December last year and they were selling them for $8 a pair.

Black market stretchy mitts....hmmm maybe I could fund another trip with those.

Have a great time! We are booked for March, leaving from Halifax as well. We got our tickets a while back for $446 incl. tax pp. We thought it was a great deal for that time of year. We paid a lot more last year, same timeframe. I've never been there in January although friends have and said the weather was great. Of course, when you are leaving the Halifax winter, anything warm feels tropical! :sunny:

...but we're flying on AC...What time is your flight? We're on the noon flight to Montreal (skipping Pearson, aka airport-of -the-missed-flights:) ) Don't forget to wear your lime green...we'll see you there!!

:sunny:

We are going in April, VIA Toronto, ususall can be sure of good weather then. Paid $400.22 taxes in for our tickets. $567.00 last year for the same time. no direct flights if you want to domore than 7 days and less than 14. 10 -12 days are the magic number for us. Can hardly wait. Eight more months. Also flying out of Halifax. .

Good going. We went last January and during the morning we wore pants and come afternoon we were in shorts. Only 1 day we wore pants all day. But let me tell you when the sun comes out, it is hot, not like up here in Canada. Trust me though your in Florida and at home people are freezing , you'll be in shorts just to say you were. At home in the summer I would not wear shorts at 60, but in Florida we were in shorts and sweatshirts. You can tell who is Canadian down there, or a American in the northern states, were all in shorts. Some one said to me that there not use to the cold and they have mitts and hats on while were in shorts. They must think were crazy.
Like maryliz said though plan for any weather, we drove and brought a little of this and a little of that.

We are flying on Canjet and our flight leaves at 8:30am arrive orlando 11:15. We wanted to go directed because we are travelling with 3 kids (ages 2, 4, and 8) and wanted to get there asap without having to change planes.

Our price was $539.77 (Flight Centre) taxes in! Great price for Direct.

We'll be coming in the airport doors as you're taking off:)

Great price, though!!:)
