I totally sympathize. I had my one year check-up for cancer on Tuesday. I get the results Friday 7/17. You totally get comfortable in between visits, but when a check-up comes around, it can bring a lot of anxiety back. I know the waiting and anxiety suck, but try to remember that's why you're having bad dreams. You're just anxious which is completely normal. Your dreams don't mean that anything is wrong. They just mean you're having a normal amount of anxiety. Think positive and think about how far you've come. Keep yourself occupied with things you enjoy doing. I'm sending you prayers and pixie dust. Keep us updated.
I have been keeping myself busy tonight. Do you all remember that game with the tiles that had one empty space and you had to try and shift them to get the picture? Well that is what I was doing with my bedroom tonight. moved half the furniture into different places to optimize the space. I am exhausted right now. To paraphrase the Great Bard, to sleep per chance NOT to dream.
I'm thinking of you Kim. Think happy thoughts!
I would be stressed too. I hope you hear great news real soon.
When we dream our subconscious is working out the days events or the things on our mind. It is not a way to predict the future. People will say I dreamt something and then it came true. If you dreamt that you won the lottery and did, it's not because of you dreamt it, it's because you were extremely lucky. I have had that dream quit a few times and I have not won the lottery DANG IT! Please don't stress out about it.
Will keep you in my prayers. My dad was just tested for prostrate cancer due to some problems he was having, and the stress and anxiety can do a number on you. It was 3 of the most stressed out days I had. One thing that i did was to keep thinking positive thoughts, and it seemed to help out a lot.
Who wouldn't be nervous under the circumstances...it's completely normal. Plus, we've all been on an emotional roller coaster lately due to the news reports concerning celebrity deaths, (and our own dear Kevin's tragedy) -- so try to remain positive and know that we're all behind you 100% with fingers, toes, pretty much everything crossed.
