With the prices of gasoline soaring skyward, is there a chance the airline or the cruise lines will sock us with a fuel surcharge? I'm pretty sure they don't use the same type of fuel as our automobiles, but they do use some type of fuel and I'm sure they are feeling the same pinch as all of us. Can they add an additional fee once we are paid in full?

When are we going to see these gas prices level off? I'm going to have to take out a second mortage on my house just to drive to work!!! LOL!!!

Cruise ships can/do pass on any increase in port chgs. after pd in full, however, not sure if increase involves any extra fuel chgs.

I think a lot of people are rethinking their vacation driving plans. We orginally were planning a road trip out west to Grand Caynon up thru N Dakota for our 40th Annv. in May, which would put us having covered all the states. However, with the gas prices we decided on a cruise, postposting road trip till the prices drop. Our cruise is very reasonable, but airline tickets fr BWI to Miami is another story. At least we don't live in California!!

Just refinanced ourselves, but to put the money toward the cruise budget or the gas budget? Decisions, decisions. ;)

Don't worry Grammy, if worse came to worse, DCL would increase the costs of future cruises to make up any additional charges they encounter due to the gas hike.
